INTRODUCE MYSELF - get to know me from Hive-beginning until this day

in OCD3 years ago (edited)

Considering that I have been a member of this community for a long time, but that many of you do not know me and know almost nothing about me, I wanted you get to know me a little better and see all my sides, talents and qualities that I possess. Of course, like each of us, we should be most proud of those basic qualities, our qualities, what makes us human, what makes us good people above all.

I heard about Hive from one of my dear friend who has been active in this community for some time and has already find out how things work here. When he told me about the Hive, I wasn't that interested because it was simply impossible for me that someone could reward my work and effort because nothing like that had happened before. The drawings that I had done up until then, people mostly could not appreciate, but my desire was still huge.
Thanks to him, I joined this community and realized that there are people here who appreciate what you are, who you are, and everything you give of yourself. Then my desire to become a part of all this became even greater and I began to put even more effort into my work.

My main inspiration lies in the people who surround me, their support and desire to be a part of my success. That's what keeps me going in this art and what doesn't allow me to give up. Besides them, it is nature that inspires me, that breathes some new energy into me and makes me positive. I adore nature, colors, greenery, rivers, seas, everything that contributes to my peace and freedom.

Also, I am a person who loves animals, so I often find some kind of inspiration in them. It is indescribable how much just one little animal can improve your day and change your mood.

That was a story about what inspired me, and now it's a story about my initial steps, about how I started drawing when I was little, a girl of only five years old who loved to watch cartoons and loved to draw her favorite heroes. Then it was the turn of school, first grade, when we got our first book, which was my main inspiration for drawing at the time. That book consisted of picture on which mostly children and animals were drawn so I start doing it also.

Seeing all the love I give to this type of art, my parents decided to enroll me in lessons with a teacher. That was actually a professor at the school I later went to and also the biggest motivator for me to continue drawing, besides my family, who always supported me, of course.

Years passed like this, and my love for painting still did not disappear, it even grew. At school, everyone knew me as a person who draws very well, and my works were hung in the school corridor. And you know what? The feeling was beautiful. That feeling when you know that something is only yours and the people around you admire you.
The years continued to pass, until college, when I finally stopped drawing for two years. If you asked me the reason, I wouldn't know what to tell you. The faculty definitely pulled me in a different direction and at some point I thought that I should try something else. Fortunately, my "madness" didn't last long and I returned to painting again. I drew my first painting using the oil on canvas technique exactly six years ago, and that's when a new adventure started for me. These are my first drawings with oil on canvas technique and you can see the huge difference compared to the latest drawings.

When I started to develop my painting skills, people from my environment liked it, so they wanted a painting from me. In the beginning, it were mostly drawings of nature, icons, drawings of animals, and then the most difficult part began, drawing portraits. That first period of drawing a portrait was stressful for me because that type of drawing requires much more attention and concentration, and in the end you never know if someone will like the drawing. Over time, I became confident and realized that I am the right person for that type of drawing. There is my first portrait that you have already had the chance to see and my last portrait for now.

My culmination came last year in November when I had my first exhibition. It is probably an event that I will never forget. A hall full of people, people who look at me and my drawings. My first exhibition was for "Torino fashion week" when I drew jewelry from the Paulja era and models from this fashion show. I can say that it was one of the happiest days in my life and I hope there will be many more. You have already had the opportunity to see some pictures from that exhibition, but I'll show you some more.

The two largest paintings I have done so far were 100x70 and 120x80 cm in size, and they represented the biggest challenge for me so far. Such a canvas size is very characteristic for drawing and requires much more time and effort.

After these paintings, I found another great love, which is making caricatures. It started with drawing the first caricature for my boyfriend as a gift for one year of our relationship and it ended with his delight and support to continue with such drawings. I can tell you that I have not regretted that I started doing caricatures because people are fascinated by this type of art, and they are a nice and funny gifts for any occasion.

And then you will see what I'm preparing for you in future posts... of course this is not my maximum and that I have the desire to progress and find myself in new things. I will show you one of my new loves in one of the next posts, but just want to make sure that this is exactly what I want to continue doing.
I hope you liked my post and hear some things about me that you didn't know before. I will try to continue to surprise you with some novelties and share my everyday life with you.
Greetings from me and enjoy these beautiful days. 😊
