It's been a while I since I last wrote on a blockchain platform or anything like this, and it's my first time on Hive (!) so I know I have to make this one good...
Over the years we have all said and heard the phrase "I haven't got time", but all of a sudden what with the whole world on lockdown and spring rolling into summer we have suddenly, so much time on our hands.
The question we all have to ask ourselves is, how are you making it count? The excuse of if only I had time to work-out, to prepare my meals, to be healthy, time to pray, to practice my instrument, to learn a new language, to bond with my kids, to learn some new skill, to call my parents or family, is about to become a little less easy to use. The current lockdown will come to an end at some point and life as we knew it will not be quite the same. How we cope with the aftermath - for better or for worse - will depend on the choices being made right now, and the personal investments we are making into our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physically wellbeing.
One thing is certain - time will always come and go. Quality time is what makes the difference. You could spend your spare time staring idly into space or you could be intentional and meditate and improve yourself spiritually. You could spend a few hours surfing the web or spend it acquiring a new skill. Give yourself that home spa treatment that you could never fit into your previously too busy life. Relax - Just Breathe
When this is all over, do you want to look back in regret - "if only I had ...." or look back back in relief:"it's a good thing I did ......"
Be intentional - learn a new language or skill, spend quality time with loved ones, read that book you have had on the shelf for months or maybe years like in my case (I started reading War and Peace over 15 years ago...)
Take time to relax, catch up on sleep and while you're at it, cook something that you would previously skip because it was too time consuming, learn to bake something new (the internet is your friend!) or prepare something from another cuisine. I promise you won't regret it - strive to use this time to elevate yourself and improve your mental health.
