RE: Selling votes through beneficiaries

I tried talking. All they do is deflect, insult, or play on your heartstrings; try to manipulate. There's no genuine dialog taking place, at all. None. Zero.

The cult leader type will use a situation like this to their advantage, drawing members closer to him, and further from everyone else. If that's what this is.

Not much that can be done in that case, there's bigger problems in the world.

It might be a charity scam. The logic behind setting an impossible goal of accumulating 1 million HP is simple. When you have enough brainwashed minds thinking they're contributing to a challenge, for a good cause, they'll pump all kinds of money into it, until they reach that goal. If the goal was set low, the goal could be reached in very little time. Then the money has to stop flowing in. So as this money is pouring in to reach this mystical goal of 1 million HP, those receiving it are sending some out the door. It's a common scam seen in fundraisers. A shady church for instance will set a goal of $20000. They make one of these:

They might collect $10000 but only move the mark up 10% rather than 50%. The group can't count the money as it's being handed over. But every Sunday that poster with the 'goal' is one of the first things they see when they walk in. They'll be reminded at the door, during the service, and on their way out, to make sure to donate. They'll say, "Look! We're getting there! Just a little more!"

But it's all bullshit.

I'm not saying that's for sure what they're doing. But it fits the profile.
