OCD Community Boost Contest #2: Highlighting Toys on Hive

in OCD4 years ago
Authored by @ybanezkim26

It's time for another contest!

The response on the first contest has been very overwhelming! Because of that, let's have the second contest right away. The winners of the first contest will be announced two (2) days from now, which means I'll post on Sunday (PST). This will give the moderators ample time to decide whose entries stood out.

OCD has been in the forefront of supporting different niche communities in Hive. Under the Community Incubation Program, OCD has been helping community leaders and moderators grow their genre-specific communities through focused curation. As observed in the latest update, communities under the program have grown both in number of subscriptions and in engagements within their members. By highlighting great posts by users in a particular community, they are encouraged to level up their game or maintain the quality of their posts.

To further help communities, OCD will now conduct weekly contests! The aim is to increase subscriptions and engagements by highlighting a particular community for a week. All other communities within the incubation program will carry on with the usual curation activities. With the help of community leaders and moderators, we at OCD will incentivize more those posts within that highlighted community for a week.

Oh dear! I have missed the dead line, living in Africa we have an annoying situation called "LOAD SHEDDING" (power outage,) we have been on and off for 2 days. No worries, thought I would post it any way, just for fun.
Being a newbie, still feeling my way around and a computer that does not always cooperate.
All done in the name of FUN.
Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to share anyway.

Your story was such fun @artywink, but loadshedding certainly is no fun especially when it interferes with blogging! We've just emerged from the darkness after another bout of loadshedding, even my mobile network was unstable, so annoying!!!

They are fun, aren't they? I love them too! I love the old cars!!

super, I am joining. thanks!

Blogposts about toys are a great way to bring out the fun side of Hiveans. Great initiative. The rewards are good too. :)

It is also a great way to remind us of our childhood. Everything is different nowadays. Kids today get everything handed to them on a silver platter. They just don't appreciate the values of good ol' fashioned stuff.

I agree @queenbee1977. Personally, toys remind me of the times when I did not have a care in the world. Just what to watch on television, playtime and school. lol

Yes, childhood memories are the best memories.

It is also a great way to remind us of our childhood.
Indeed, we are lucky to have experienced the old school.

Love it! Upvoted and resteemed.

Hello friends, this challenge could not be missed so here is my entry

Ok! I love toys, so I'm sure you'll see me here soon!

Nice! I spent hours sorting out my daughter's Lego a few days ago, so we can build something cool (hopefully) maybe I will enter this one if we create something nice that is :)

This was fun! I knew right away what my post would be about. Thanks for introducing me to this community!

So now I blame all of you for me having the I WANTS! but here is my entry Toys on Hive - The Games People Play - If money is not an issue, what types of toys would you buy?
Hope you enjoy it:)

Great way to remember childhood. I'd say that "if money is not the issue, what you would I build?" I'll try to build something fun to share.

I posted story about board game, compact but very powerful, useful, gambling and competitive at once. It was my favourite for a few years. I want to educate other parents and kids about it. It costs 15 dollars, which is not that much -- so, money is not an issue if you would want to buy it for your kids. I recommended it very much!

Here is my strange entry, citing two of the rules: "(1) Toys, games, gadgets and figurines you have played, bought, made or own." "(5) The toy has to be an object you can physically touch and hold." My toy meets both expectations, I have manufactured it and it is a physical chest that we can touch with our hands. in fact, it is mahogany wood.
