My Journey Relocating To Lagos

in OCD3 years ago

After quitting my 9 to 5 job to face Hive fully, I decided to relocate to Lagos to meet up with my brother from another mother @readthisplease, to help guide me properly on everything he knows about the Hive blockchain that I don't know yet, trust me his a brain box with a lot of ideas and he truly knows a lot of things.

That being said, let me talk about how my journey went, first of all, I wanted to get to Lagos early because I don't like night journeys, so I left my house as early as 5:30 am so I could meet up with the first early morning bus because my house is about 30 or 25 minutes away from the park, the early morning bus leaves the park between the hours of 6 am and 6:30 am.

I got to the park at 6:05 am, the first bus was full and was already leaving, I was pissed off because the second always takes a lot of time to get full, and then leave the park for Lagos, even though I was pissed I had no choice but to wait because all the times I had been to Lagos, I have always entered the bus from that park because they do have really good customer service and talk to their customers well.

So I paid the transport fee and entered the second bus, since I was the first person to enter the bus I had the privilege of choosing where I want to sit, I chose to sit in front beside the driver, although they are taking the COVID 19 safety rules and all, they were still going to put in bags and luggage inside the bus. since it's going to be a 6 to 7 hours journey I didn't want anything to inconvenience me.

I sat in the bus for like an hour plus before the next passenger came and it took about four hours for the bus to get almost full but because of the too much delay already the driver decided to move, that he will fill up the empty seats along our way to Lagos, we didn't even know that the bus didn't have fuel in it, even after all the delay but luckily for us, there was a fuel or gas station not too far from the bus park, he filled the tank and we were on our to Lagos.

You know I said earlier that the bus was not full before we left the park, yeah.

The driver kept on stopping and stopping to pick up passengers to fill the empty seats in the bus, these stops cause extra delays to our journey, and at this point, I was already hungry and more pissed off because the stops were like it wasn't going to end because the more he dropped passengers the more he picked up new passengers, which was annoying because on a normal the bus wasn't supposed to stop and pick up passengers on the way, the only stops was supposed to be for us to eat, drop passengers that have gotten to their destination and continue our journey.

The funniest thing happened after we talked to the driver about the too much stopping here and there, it was just like he tapped into the fast and furious part of himself because of the speed he was running and the control he had over the bus, it was just like I was in the car with Dominic Torreto (Vin Diesel) himself, it was a bit scared though but I just wanted to get to Lagos already so I owned my fear and before we knew it we were already in Lagos.

Sort:

I won't lie this is a big step, not only quitting but relocating, also been planning on relocating to Lagos but ill need a 9-5 before I take that step.

I wish you grace in your new state.
