Hello, best regards to the entire Hive community, I am new to the platform and I am going to tell you a little about what I have learned this last year during the quarantine period.
Primero que nada les comento que me desempeño como Docente en mi país Venezuela y realmente nunca me había llamado la atención nada referente a la agricultura. Cuando comenzó la cuarentena tenía mucho tiempo libre y un terreno lo suficientemente amplio donde desarrollar la actividad, pero realmente nada de ganas.
of all, I will tell you that I work as a teacher in my country, Venezuela, and nothing related to agriculture had really caught my attention. When the quarantine began, I had a lot of free time and a large enough field to carry out the activity, but I really had no desire.

Pasan los días, veo a mis padres dedicándole tiempo, limpiando, haciendo semilleros y me comienzo a entusiasmar, así comenzó un viaje de nuevas experiencias y conocimientos que le relato a continuación.
Days go by, I see my parents dedicating time to it, cleaning, making seedbeds and I am beginning to get excited, thus began a journey of new experiences and knowledge that I will tell you about below.
Tenía los conocimientos básicos, pues soy Docente en el Área de Biología, por lo tanto comencé a estudiar en primer lugar sobre el cultivo del tomate, fue lo primero que cultive, comenzando desde cero, comprando un tomate en el Mercado
Municipal, extrayendo sus semillas, dejándolas fermentar, luego lavándolas, dejándolas secar en una servilleta en un lugar fresco donde no le pegara el sol y posteriormente, realizando el semillero, cuidando de él todos los días para luego realizar el trasplante al terreno y seguir con los constantes cuidados, pues las plantas de tomates suelen ser muy delicadas durante su desarrollo.
I had the basic knowledge, because I am a Teacher in the Biology Area, therefore I began to study in the first place about tomato cultivation, it was the first thing that I cultivated, starting from scratch, buying a tomato in the Market
Municipal, extracting its seeds, letting them ferment, then washing them, letting them dry on a napkin in a cool place where the sun will not hit it and later, making the seedbed, taking care of it every day and then transplanting it to the ground and continuing with constant care, as tomato plants tend to be very delicate during their development.
Beyond tomatoes, I later studied the cultivation of Eggplant, Chili Peppers, Peppers or Bell Peppers, all from the seed, studying their care, common diseases, the minerals they need, also how to prepare supplements plant food, among other things.
Estos han sido los conocimientos que me dejo el periodo de cuarentena y que sigo poniendo en práctica cada día en mi huerto familiar. Espero les haya gustado, un abrazo a todos.
