Growing up, I was always fascinated by the world around me. As a curious child, I spent hours exploring my neighborhood, asking questions and looking for the answers. This innate curiosity laid a big foundation for my future endeavors. I have often been asked, “What is it like having seven siblings?” My response? “Chaos, Love and unforgettable memories.” As the sixth born in my family, I have learned to navigate noise, find my place, and cherish every moment.
Our home was filled with laughter, thanks to my parents’ love and dedication. They made it their priority that all of us went to the best schools and graduated.
As I navigated through school, I discovered my passion for learning and growth. My best subject were mathematics and quantitative, I excelled in these subjects, cause it challenged me to think critically and solve problems. It was in my school ( Nigerian Navy Secondary School ) I was guided by the motto “TOUGH TIME DON’T LAST, BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO”. These words motivated me to do the things which I love doing.
On the flip side, my parents and teachers encouraged me to pursue my interests and that was what I did by studying Engineering in Madonna University. During my University days, I recall early morning lectures, rushing to classes with my t-shirt in hand just to avoid door closed one, Late-night study sessions fueled by determination and friendship, energetic debates in our HOD’s lectures which helped to shape my perspectives, Wednesday’s early morning exercise with the Co-founder Father Edeh, Friday’s evening sports where we watched or participated in the sports we loved.
I also cherish the memories of late night games with roommates, laughing until tears streamed down our faces, study groups turned into social gatherings, bonding over shared goals, spontaneous road trips with classmates, exploring new horizons, supporting each other through thick and thin, forming unbreakable bonds.
After my graduation, I went to serve my father’s land via NYSC ( National Youth Service Corps) it is a mandatory one year program for Nigerian graduates. Where the objectives are to promote national unity and integration, develop skills and leadership capacities, foster social and economic development and encourage patriotism and nation-building.
Serving in Kano, a state in the north, was a transformative experience. As a corps member, I discovered resilience, adaptability and the beauty of cultural diversity.
NYSC in Kano taught me the importance of effective communication across cultural lines, empathy and understanding, self-reliance and resourcefulness.
After completing my education, I embarked on a professional journey that took me to exciting places. I worked with diverse teams, tackled complex projects, and developed valuable skills. My experience shaped me into a resilient, adaptable, and determined individual. I cannot talk about my growth without appreciating the notable friendship my life whose friendship taught me empathy and understanding, loyalty and support, diversity and inclusivity.
One of the most significant milestones in my life was the day I got my adorable puppy , Ghost. This little bundle of joy brought immense happiness and love into my life. Watching Ghost grow and thrive has been an incredible experience. But honestly, training puppies is not easy as they need lots of patience and love.
Meet Ozuzu, a vibrant and adventurous individual with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and growth.
