The coconut bonkla is an old coconut sprout growing from a pitcher of fruit that penetrates the outer skin. I thought of my friend, who was one of the artists who had a unique ability to produce, such as one of these coconut bonkla plants. The production of one bonkla of coconuts takes considerable time from planting into the medium pot and then trimming the leaf and cleansing it to the point of formation.
