Introduction and Tutorials
Photodash Philippines will support Photography Enthusiasts here in Hive, because we believe in the growth and future of Hive. We will be posting tutorials and ideas that learned in actual experience, looking forward in the future, we will conduct a contest and photography challenges , and this is just a start so Let's go Hive.
Panning Shot
Or shooting a moving subject is hard shot to some, but you can learn it, even in your smartphone, you must know the basic, the exposure triangle.
Shutter Speed in panning shot should be lower, i will not be specific, because setting is different in lightning condition, and so on the iso and aperture, but the key is the shutter speed to obtain the blurry effect of the panning shot.
Pick a spot on the street, find a subject or target, just like aiming with the gun, and shoot along with the subject, focus point must be on the center.
Move along with the subject, if it is moving to the right or left, do it with continous shot.
Burst Shot
If you want to make sure you can catch a good panning shot, turn on the burst shot mode, instead of single shot mode, now it depends on your camera if how many frames per second, for me any camera that has 5 or 6 FPS is enough even in a kitlens, set the auto focus to AI Servo Canon's continuous-servo autofocus, im a canon user.
Im not a PRO i just learned the basic, and also from experience, now see the other shots.
Framing
In photography rule of third, if capturing people or things the empty space should be in where is the subject is leaning to, or facing to, but rules are made to be broken they say, actually is in the rules also, that you can break the rules like this offset shot, the rider was shot from the back.
You can be creative by trying something new and do some experiment, don't be **afraid** to make mistakes, because mistakes can teach you, if you will admit and change it for the better, and never do it again.
Another shot, Rider is a delivery boy of a fastfood the Jollibee Store, over a thousand branches worldwide, during this time even if the Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) is in effect they start the drive thru and delivery service, in a limited set of meal, because the delivery channels are limited and the supply also short in some areas of the cities because of Covid-19, thanks some are partially open and continue its operations.
Bonus
Shot of the owner type jeep popular private vehicle of 90s in the Philippines, it is very few now in 20s, i did not expect to see such type of vehicle, i am finish shooting, setting up my camera to my bag, when i saw it coming, so i snap a shot but not in framed, but its ok and its fine i will try again.
Maybe next week i'll catch one to my panning shot saturday, if you wanna join me, your are welcome, i'd be happy to see your shots too, so we can learn to each other and see some good ideas and techniques, i am willing to learn and meet you guys, lets share and grow together.
Finally the last photo is a ten wheeler dump track, twin win steel builders depot incorporated, carrying i think it is sand or gravel or dump soil, that is commonly inside the track, i guess coz i cant see it through because it is covered.
So thats it for today, hope to see you in my next blog, any suggestion, comments or photo critique are welcome, write it down below.
