RE: The internet is broken, but together we can fix it. Three areas that I think we need to mobilize.

I enjoyed this read.

  1. unfortunately I think the regular citizens don't care about surveillance. Remember the whole Ed Snowden thing? how many people said "I don't care, I have nothing to hide"?
  2. Strongly agree. People need to be introduced to platforms like Hive to understand that they can help build the internet 3.0 and give, as well as receive, value in the process.
  3. Love how simply you put this: "Technology is not just something that happens to us" Again, agree, which is why I've started to educate myself in programing and blockchain. I have a long way to go.

great post.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I totally agree that most people actually don't care about surveillance. We must make people aware that it's important, I would even say crucial, to reshape the Internet of the future and that we can all participate in this. Too bad people care more about a nice interface then what's actually behind the curtains. However, that is also something that blockchain projects still have to work hard on. At the moment it is all too complicated. As a result, many people drop out, even if they find the idea interesting.
