Though its a murder mystery series, it's more of a drama than a mystery. What can go on in a family is shown in great detail, which at the same time is the strength of the series, but also the weakness. Because, if you are not used to slow pace, then 8 episodes can make you feel never-ending. So I had to take a break. Despite having less cast, slow pace, and depressing, it didn't look bad because of the direction, cinematography, and the good acting of the original 3 stars.

On the contrary, this family drama along with the Murder Mystery has made the story of the series a bit unique and made us rethink parenthood, trust, family counseling, which is quite touching.
Although Chris Evans had the best performance of his career, it would have been better for me personally to have a better actor in this role. I think that image of Evans has become an obstacle to enter his character. With that, Michelle Dockery is the best, her fragility in the role of a mother, the constant mental struggle to accept the difficult reality is beautifully portrayed.
Although slow, the whole time there was uncertainty as to what he had done, where Jaden Martel's performance as Jacob was admirable and actually the most challenging. Because, looking at him, it isn't clear whether he has committed the murder or not.
All in all, if you want to see a realistic drama, where the struggles of a family’s hard times are beautifully portrayed, you can watch this series. However, the story could have been told in 6 episodes instead of 8 episodes.
After all its a clean show devoid of violence and nudity.
