I feel like you're actually doing it instinctively but you're not quite sure/aware of what you're doing so when it works that well it seems like a fluke XP
I see we have a similar way of troubleshooting XD though how you deal with the people that want you to tell them "the" answer? x_x
I trap them in a time-space continuum of what are your options and what are you going to do. The reason is that I don't ever want to be seen to make a decision for them. I'm not one to catch people's problems, rather, *reflect them back, and make them take ownership. The reason is that if they don't come to their own decisions they have the ability to blame someone other than themselves for the failure of those decisions.
Instinctive happenstance. Yep, that's it. :)
