Why don’t I use my real name?
I don’t feel comfortable revealing my real life identity to a large group of strangers on the internet (sorry about that), so I decided to use the name Satoru Raiden, Satoru because of Gojo Satoru, one of my favorite characters from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen and Raiden because he is my favorite character from the Metal Gear saga. Now the rest of my information is real: I am 35 years old and I live in Venezuela, Anzoátegui, my native tongue is not English but I’ve been learning it for about 6 years by my own, I gave classes to high school and college students and this also helped me work occasionally as a freelance translator.
My hobbies are watching movies of every genre and every time period. From black and white movies to the newest blockbuster, but my enjoyment of movies goes further than simply watching them for fun, I also find fascinating the behind the scenes and how movie crews come up with ingenious ideas to make new films. I also like some anime series but I don’t consider myself a weeb, I like videogames, specially action and adventure, and horror games, I’m kind of a geek.

I found out about Hive while searching for crypto information on youtube, the algorithm recommended me some videos about people talking about this social media without censorship that has its own crypto coin, this concept got my attention because in social media the createtive liberty of content creators can be affected by censorship.
Here in Hive, I want to focus primarily on sharing content about movies and gaming because that’s what I am most passionate about, but I also want to use this platform as a method to better my English skills. Also, I want to create other type of content, it all depends on the communities and topics that become object of interest while I explore this new world called hive.

¿Por que no uso mi nombré real?
No me siento cómodo relevando mi identidad de la vida real a un enorme grupo de personas desconocidas en internet (me disculpo por eso), así que decidí usar el nombre de usuario satoru-raiden, Satoru por Satoru Gojo, uno de mis personajes preferidos del anime Jujutsu Kaisen y Raiden porque es mi personaje favorito de la saga de videojuegos Metal Gear. Ahora el resto de información sobre mí si es real. Tengo 35 años y vivo en Venezuela, estado Anzoátegui, mi lengua materna no es ingles pero llevo 6 años aprendiéndola por mi cuenta, esto me ha servido para dar clases a estudiantes de secundaria y universitarios y para trabajar ocasionalmente como traductor freelancer.
En cuanto a mis aficiones, me gusta ver películas de casi todos los géneros y épocas, desde cintas en blanco y negro hasta las más modernas, aunque este gusto por el cine va un poco más allá de solo disfrutar de las películas en sí, ya que también me parece fascinante ver los tras cámaras y como se las ingenian sus realizadores para producirlas. Además me gustan algunas series de anime pero no me considero un Otaku, también me gustan los videojuegos, especialmente los de acción y aventuras y los de terror, ósea soy un tipo Geek.

Me entere de la existencia de Hive recientemente al buscar información sobre cryptomonedas en Youtube, el algoritmo me recomendó algunos videos de personas hablando de esta red social sin censura que posee su propia criptomoneda, ese concepto me llamo la atención porque en redes sociales la libertad creativa de los creadores de contenido puede verse afectada por la censura.
Aquí en Hive quiero enfocarme principalmente en compartir contendido sobre el cine y los videojuegos porque es lo que más me apasiona, aunque también deseo utilizar la plataforma como un método para mejorar mis habilidades escribiendo en ingles. Además también me gustaría crear otro tipo de contenidos, todo depende de que comunidades y temas me vayan llamando la atención a medida que vaya explorando este nuevo mundo llamado Hive.
