By changing your Hive private owner key, you also change all your other private keys, including your private memo key. ๐ค
Please be very careful with your keys (especially your private owner key and master password). ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ๐ค
Here are the steps to change your private keys using #PeakD:
- Go to your #PeakD wallet (https://peakd.com/@craftingwithreny/permissions).
- Click on the "Change Password" tab.
- Click on the checkbox acknowledging that you have read the note regarding your master password and private keys.
- Paste the private owner key on the text field and press Enter. Please make sure the website you are on is
https://peakd.com/@craftingwithreny/permissions. - Backup the private keys to your computer, as well to as another storage such as a USB drive and/or a password manager.
- Click "Update Keys". You may need to log in again to the Hive dapps (decentralized apps such as #HiveBlog) which you use to interact with Hive.
That's it! ๐ฅณ After following the steps above, your private keys (including the memo key) have changed! ๐
