Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating it all around the world, well it doesn’t really feel very joyous to celebrate the festival because of the pandemic and especially in Pakistan where just a couple of days ago a domestic PIA airline crash landed in Karachi on a populated area and more than 100 passengers were killed in the tragic incident. May their souls rest in peace our whole country is mourning the tragedy that occurred on that day. Still we hope and pray that these difficult times pass by with minimal casualties across the world and everyone recover from the mental and physical pains in life. The world is in chaos and people need that light of hope to get them through this pandemic.
The first thing we Muslims do on Eid is to pray the annual prayer and it is on a grand scale as compared to the daily prayers, but it didn’t happen this year of course because of the SOP’s. After the prayer one of the bonds between fellow brothers is to hug one another and greet with Eid Mubarak yet again this couldn’t be done this year also so things were completely different from the rest of the years. Lastly this is a time for celebration after Ramadan finishes and we have our family gatherings for the three days but those won’t be happening anytime soon yet again.
I urge everyone to stay at home and do their festivities amongst the close family members at home only, we can avoid more disaster by not meeting people publicly and the internet and smartphones play major role in all of this. Any relative is just a video call away and you could just talk for hours with them on skype or something. Maintain social distancing that is the only thing we can do at the moment. May God bless everyone and keep us all healthy and active for the future of billions around the world.
