El 30 de septiembre fue mi cumpleaños numero 33 y el 1ero en Bogotá... nunca había pasado un cumpleaños lejos de mi familia, mi casa, mi tierra.
Fue un sube y baja de emociones, me sentí muy agradecida por estar con amigos de Venezuela que también viven aquí y otros amigos que hemos hecho desde que llegamos...
Mi esposo se encargó de que la pasara bien y no me concentrara en la nostalgia, aunque siempre terminé llorando con los textos de mi mamá...
September 30 was my 33rd birthday and my 1st in Bogotá ... I had never spent a birthday away from my family, my home, my land.
It was a seesaw of emotions, I felt very grateful to be with friends from Venezuela who also live here and other friends that we have made since we arrived ...
My husband made sure that I had a good time and did not focus on nostalgia, although I always ended up crying with my mother's texts ...
Les cuento un poco, como cayó un día jueves y ese día tocó trabajar estuvimos en casa, trabajando y haciendo nuestras diligencias. Ese día en la noche fuimos al OPEN SAN FELIPE, un evento que hacen acá para promover el arte plásticos, la pintura, la escultura, la literatura, música y la comida... la verdad un espacio muy bonito a donde habíamos querido ir y casualmente comenzó el día de mi cumpleaños.
Aquí les muestro algunas fotos de ese día.
I will tell you a bit, how it fell on a Thursday and that day it was time to work, we were at home, working and doing our errands. That day at night we went to OPEN SAN FELIPE, an event that they do here to promote plastic arts, painting, sculpture, literature, music and food ... the truth is a very beautiful space where we had wanted to go and coincidentally started on my birthday.

El día sábado picamos una torta en al casa, para contar cumpleaños y compartir con otros amigos, siempre es importante sentirse acompañado y hacer familia con los nuevos amigo.
Mi esposo me sorprendió con una torta de tres leches con parchita y unas flores coloridas como me gustan a mi... Adoro los colores y estar rodeada de gente bonita, entonces estoy muy agradecida de realizar estas conexiones acá en este nuevo país.
Comimos tequeños, hicimos guasacaca, salsa de ajo y pastelitos venezolanos... nos sentimos muy alegres, porque todos somos emigrantes y juntarnos siempre es agradable.
On Saturday we eat a cake at home, to tell birthdays and share with other friends, it is always important to feel accompanied and make family with new friends.
My husband surprised me with a tres leches cake with a patch and some colorful flowers as I like them ... I love colors and being surrounded by beautiful people, so I am very grateful to make these connections here in this new country.
We ate tequeños, we made guasacaca, garlic sauce and Venezuelan pastries ... we feel very happy, because we are all immigrants and getting together is always nice.
Bueno, ese fue mi primer cumple como emigrante, agradezco muchas cosas de la vida, incluso doy gracias por esta experiencia de estar en otro país y volver a aprender muchas cosas, todo lo que vivimos sin duda alguna nos hace crecer como personas.
Para este nuevo año de mi vida pido a Dios mucha salud, mucho equilibrio emocional, alegrías, bendiciones y que todas esos proyectos que quiero ejecutar empiecen a ser realidad. Gracias a mi familia y amigos que aunque están lejos yo los siento muy cerca a diario.
Well, that was my first birthday as an immigrant, I am grateful for many things in life, I am even grateful for this experience of being in another country and re-learning many things, everything that we live without a doubt makes us grow as people.
For this new year of my life I ask God for a lot of health, a lot of emotional balance, joys, blessings and that all those projects that I want to carry out begin to come true. Thanks to my family and friends who, although they are far away, I feel very close to them every day.
