Newbies Initiative First Task - My Hive Goals for the Next 3 Months.

Knocking down the wall

I'm excited to be part of the newbie initiative program and I'm looking forward to learning more about the Hive community.

We've been asked to answer our plan for the next 3 months.

My goal is to find a home within some of these communities so that my default when I want to look up something on social media, is Hive, whether that is on Ecency, PeakD or Hive.Blog. I have a couple topics I like to talk about, from practicing mindfulness, taking photos, enjoying nature, playing music and making voxel art. By the end of the 3 months, I want to have made a connection and developed friendships so that it is easier to post and comment on great content.

I'm currently trying to achieve this goal by meeting new people and putting my name out there.

One of these examples is a recent post by AteXoras Pub by @forykw .

Check out the post here!

I saw a great opportunity to form a partnership with a community, meet new people while also partaking in Hive NFTs.

I initially made this one for AteXoras Pub

Which got me started in the direction in which I ended up. The final image was made into an NFT and shared on that post. Check it out if you'd like.

Forky has a great community and now that I have finished the image, I will join in their discussions and meet more people. You should as well! Come join us!

During my time making the image however, I came across two distinct challenges.

The first came down to time. I live a busy and hectic life, and I have been posting less the last week because I was focusing on making the NFT that ultimately went up on new post. I believe that this challenge will continue, which will make it more difficult to attain this goal.

The second challenge was the amount of Hive I have. In order to tokenize your first NFT, you need 5 Hive. I didn't have that, and so @forykw sent me 5 Hive so that I would be able to tokenize that NFT and donate the art piece over to the pub. I will make more in the future, and hopefully I will not run into the same problem. After you tokenize your first piece of art in the NFTShowroom, its 1 Hive for every piece.

However, I do have a lot of support in this community already, and I believe that because of that, it motivates me to make the time to write articles, make art and in the future (when I take out my saxophone and Tabla again) make music. In turn, this will increase the Hive I will have and allow for more freedom within the community.

I do want to say thank you to all the community members and friends that have helped me out so far. You have truly been great here.

Eventually, I'd love to be in the position in which I can curate content.

But until then, I'm really enjoying meeting new people and commenting on posts.

Until next time!

Prepare some for the Hive Fest =)

Are you going? I am ... or rather... @forkyishere will =)

Forky is awesome! Glad you’ve found another fun community to get involved in. NFT art is going to be a big thing that’s for sure! I’ll sponsor your next one, when you’re ready for it text me to let me know and I’ll send you the hive for it man!

We are trying to figure out how we can try to tokenize some photography stuff, that would be cool. Siena (as I refer to her on here) has been getting into her photography side more so we should have some good ones soon!
