Gulf Beach Pier

Gulf Beach Pier

I fairly plain title for this post, but that's pretty much the norm for me, some people are very creative at coming up with wonderful names for photos and posts, I am not one of those people and generally just say where it is, such as this one,

I did consider calling this post, By, and looking at a Pier at Gulf Beach, but then I thought that was even worse than the title I went with LOL

I have shared many shots of the Pier at Walnut Beach in my posts, but this pier is at Gulf Beach literally a mile down the road from where I live, and a beach I used to visit often for sunsets, it is very popular for that as the sun sets across the water and makes for such a wonderful sight.

but that's not really relevant for this post as this was a visit to the beach during the day and focusing on Piers, starting with this shot from the side of the pier, looking over the rocks and the seagulls.

and this next shot is out at the end of the pier, looking one way, actually looking away from Gulf Beach as it happens

and the reason I showed the shot that way, is from the end of the pier in the last shot, you can see this private house and pier by the water, in this time of social distancing, I could very happily live in that place, and get some exercise and fresh air walking back and forth out on that pier many a time, with no one else around would be just about perfect for me ;)

And that’s all folks

Week 3 of my contest just started...you can now check the winners of the previous week!

Well I told you before. But you picture are so beautiful and perfect dear friend💙

And thanks such a kind comment is truly appreciated

Seagulls have the pier to them selves :-)

that day they did, now that people are getting sick of staying home the beaches are getting more human visitors these days

That last photo makes it look like the house is right on the pier. I am guessing it isn't though. Nice shots as always. I hope you are able to get out at least a little bit as the weather is turning nicer!

I have wondered the same from this angle which is the only angle I have seen it, for sure it looks like it is directly from the house to the pier

I swear... as soon as I have the time to come to Hive, the first article I go to is your article. I love looking at your photos (especially photos of the water). Hehehe, I too could very content to live in that house by the water.. and just be walking back and forth out on that pier with just me, I, and myself!
Have a terrific day, and take care, my friend, @tattoodjay 🥰🌺🤙

your visits and comments always make me smile, and are so appreciated

I hope your day is going well :)

Beautiful and peaceful and you know I would love to live in this house too 😊
It seems to be big enough for a nice little photo studio :)

Ohh yeah that house would be perfect about now and it seems to have weathered the big storms we have had hear so must be pretty sturdy

I have just written in another comment, that my parent's house has 1 meter thick stone walls - this house has obviously wooden and thinner walls, but I think if they live there they might have found a stormproof place and built the house very sturdy, as you said.

Ohh yeah I believe it musty be so sturdy without a doubt

Now that you mentioned it, that house would be a perfect retirement place for me, Corona or no Corona. Great photos as usual.

I've have come to know that pier almost... as well as you do! Lol...
And you have caught so many wonderful and varied scenes with it so much so I am never tired of it!

And you've done it again! These are wonderful! I can't rate them, but a favourite if forced to choose would be the last one - I agree... I could live there too... :)

Cheers, my friend... hope you are keeping well.

This pier I havcent featured so much, its the one on Walnut Beach I share more often :)

but that last shot may not be the best of shots, but that pier being private I wish it was mine LOL

Oops! My bad... It did look a lil different... (no wonder!) lol...

Still, they both have the pier magic! :) Awww, having a place like that just to sit and enjoy the atmosphere would be super... Keep safe!

they do look very similar, if I had not taken the photos I may have got them mixed up as well :)

Lol... you're too kind! :)

me kind never just honest :)

I would love chilling in that isolated house. Perfect for recording unless the waves are crashing outside...

Ohh yeah except during a big storm that house would be ideal in so many ways

Lighthouses and piers photography - who does not love it? I can`t get tired of seeing them. Amazing shots, as usual! Hope everything if fine with you! ;0)

Thanks I agree I love both of those subjects, haven't taken too many shot of lighthouses but I do love them as much if not more so than piers
