RE: The intricacies of successful fishing.

in OCD3 years ago

I do run a lax fishing community (this is Witty) and check in about once or twice a week. It's not a very highly used tag ( #fishing ) here on Hive, so it doesn't take much to keep up with. I do love a good fishing tale though!

Decent grass carp ya snagged into there! I for one, would not attempt to catch anything with my toe. My uncle was doing that in the front of the boat when I was a kid while we were fishing for crappie. A musky came along and snatched the little panfish he'd hooked into and dragged us several hundred yards with the anchor into the weeds peeling several layers of skin off of his toe. Still get the shivers from that one.

Ah! Okay, I will have a look and I don't post fishing often, but when I do then I will remember your site.
A pity that fishing is not popular on Hive.

That is an original carp and grass carps don't eat maize and their shape is different.
Wow! That must have been some experience and I bet your uncle was screaming all of the way.
Fortunately I keep my toe inside the boat and only use it to hold the line while I am taking it in with the boat. When I get to the right spot, then I take the line off my toe and drop the line with the bait into the water.
