Can you remember the feeling, where you think you were too late to join a trend, website, or even investing in cryptocurrency? I too have had this feeling.
If you read my introduction post, you would see where I wrote about being too late to join Web 3.0 and how I was trying my best to make up for the years I missed by reading as much information I could find on this topic.
Experience
I remember quitting YouTube in 2017 because I thought it was too late to join YouTube and the old channels were already dominating.
I can also remember how I sold my Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2017, two weeks after buying them, it was probably too late to invest in cryptocurrency because I thought it had reached its all-time high and there was no way the prices would go up.
And it happened again when I joined Hive, this didn't start when I found Hive, but I had the feeling when I read the history behind Hive, and since then I couldn't stop blaming myself for not join Hive or steem years ago, I thought if I joined now they would be no room left in the community and they may not want to accept new members.
Too late doesn't exist
If I could look back in time, to when I thought I was too late, I would realize, I didn't know what I was saying, why would I think am late when there is no clock showing which time is early or late.
I gave up on the idea of creating a YouTube channel back in 2017 because I thought it too late to start, but I have seen channels that were created during the lockdown that is doing better than most older channels.
I know a lot of people would wish they could go back in time to 2017 to invest in Bitcoin while I was busy selling mine.
And I was clearly wrong about Hive, from my very first post, the community has shown me, love, which I wish to pass on to newer members, I have spent less than 10 days here and I have more friends on Hive than any other social media, which is quite surprising that a decentralized platform can bring a lot of people together and at the same time have law and order.
The Truth
I guess no one knows when the time is too late, because no one sets the time, and I don't believe there would be a time like that.
If you feel you were late to join Hive, and that now it probably dominated by its first users, then take it from me because I felt that way too, I have spent less than 10 days on this platform and I have received much love and equal opportunities from the community, and I wouldn't be writing this post if I wasn't accepted, don't let this fear stop you from joining Hive, because this would end up being another opportunity you missed because of fear. Anytime you wish to join Hive there would always be room.
