Bonjour mes amis: I was just saying hello my friends in French. This is my first time publishing a post on this platform and to be sincere I feel really nervous on how to go about my introductory post.
Ah no! I’m not a newbie when it comes to blogging. I’m a consistent writer on a platform called read cash.
I have heard about hive many times from friends and acquaintances but I have been reluctant to give it a trial. You might be tempted to ask: why?
I definitely can answer that. I have opened my hive account through ecency some months ago but I have been reluctant to publish any article. The first reason was that I wasn’t familiar with how the platform works, and I didn't know anyone who would put me through on the dos and don'ts. I myself wasn't eager to learn as I didn't crave out time to learn about the workings of the platform.
But I think the major reason why it took me so long to finally make a post was because I was reluctant to move out of my comfort zone. You see I have been a writer on read cash for more than 6 months so I have become used to the platform and I have made a little name for myself there. So I wallowed myself in the comfort of read cash without thinking about exploring other platforms.
But as a writer you don’t sit in one place or use only a particular method of writing. Writers need to explore by reading the works of other writers, make friends, write and publish on numerous platforms. I believe those are part of the ways a writer can make name for his or her self. But I have shied away from taking most of the steps I listed above.
Today has been a turning point thanks to the right motivation from a friend, as I have decided it is time to give hive a trial.
I am sure you must have heard this popular proverb of Chinese origin which says that: "the journey of a thousand mile begins with a step".
Today I have taken that bold step, and I know in the nearest future I would be glad I did.
About me
It is a norm I believe that an introductory post should reveal its writer be if fully or partially. Well, my username Tomi Ajax isn't my real name but my pseudonym that I use in almost all platforms including in my social media accounts.
My pseudonym is gotten from my real names and a lot of people have come to regard me by it. I’m a young lad in my early twenties. I’m also a student, to be precise: I'm an undergraduate studying industrial chemistry in the University.
As you can guess from the opening sentence of my post, I'm interested in French language and I have been learning for more than a year now with the app Duolingo. I'm far from fluent because I do take breaks from learning but lately I have been learning more enthusiastically than before and I hope I keep up with the tempo.
I also need to mention that I'm a history lover, and I also deeply interested in international politics. Well I believe history and politics are interwoven. Without proper knowledge of history one won’t be able to understand the crisis in today’s international politics.!
I picked up my interest in writing when I was age 10, this was because I was an avid reader. Before I began blogging I specialize in writing short poems and quotes. Don’t worry I would be sharing some of poetical works with you as the time goes by.

I studied French at school myself and love the language ❣️ You know a great thing to do... watch Frech films with English sub-titles!!! There's a tip for you... at first you spend a lot of time reading the films lol... but it is amazing how, if you do it regularly, the brain takes what it is hearing in French, and what it is seeing in words and context and starts to put it together... after a while you will find yourself reading less and enjoying more, organically.
I studied Politics at University during my undergraduate degree - fascinating!!!
I assume that the ajax bit comes for a love of football? Who is your favourite player?
