MAWU- LISA es una representación de lo antes dicho, y además, es el gran sol del Panteón FON, conocido como VODUN, de Benín (África Occidental). Es andrógino. Es el sol y la luna, lo femenino y lo masculino… MAWU, es la mitad femenina del Dios creador y se afilia con la tierra; LISA, es lo masculino y se asocia con el día y el sol, con el calor, el trabajo, el poder, la fuerza y la guerra…
Cuenta la historia que MAWU-LISA Tuvo nueve hijos que representaron los reinos del Universo. Cediéndole todas sus riquezas. A unos les dijo que gobernaran la tierra, el mar y sus aguas, los bosques con sus animales; y a otros, utilizaran sus fuerzas como herreros para la construcción de sus armas para la guerra y la construcción. Que vivieran el espacio entre el cielo y la tierra para poder hacerse invisibles. Dio a sus hijos el idioma de la tierra para que lo mantuviesen informado de todos los sucesos de su pueblo…

En función de esta teoría, fue creada ésta obra: MAWU-LISA. Es una pieza que está hecha en varias etapas. Primero, es un modelado directo para lo cual hubo que realizar una estructura metálica para su respectivo modelado en cemento.

Un pequeñisimo comentario/critica constructiva, que sé que no me la haz pedido, ni me incumbe pero te lo digo con todo le amor del mundo...
