I never knew Deborah until the day we shot this images of her. A good male friend of mine had met me weeks back and asked that I showed him some techniques in photography before I traveled to Lagos.
I agreed to do that. Asked him to setup a shoot so we can meet and create some magic. His name is Austin. So Austin scheduled the shoot and brought along two female models. They were his sister and their friend. Deborah is their friend.
So we started shooting right away that evening. I had my good friend with me. Ernest. He assisted with the shoot. We used artificial lighting. I was still new to using lighting equipment though. I struggled a bit. Balancing ambient light with the light from the modifier. I also struggled with separation of my subject from the background with the light. We were able to accomplish that eventually.
We shot three looks(outfits) that day. This was the first look. I still marvel at how we shot three looks so fast. We were done in two hours.
I really enjoyed shooting Deborah. She's not a model but she had some good poses to give coupled with her beautiful body shape. Made the job so much easier and the photographs were quite nice.
Overall the images came out okay and everyone went home happy.

This was actually my first time of handling a shoot with artificial lighting. Prior to that I was a natural light shooter. So my lighting wasn't near perfect. You can see that from the highlights on her face. A bit too powered lighting. Eventually I have gotten to do more shoots with artificial lighting and I've gotten the basics of it.
