Can you help me with my content?
Trying to figure out Communties
I've really been struggling here lately with trying to figure out what communties my content fits the most.
Ive been switching between the Threespeak and OCD communities since those are the most relevant in my head. Its mostly video and original content.
But my vlog, "From the Driver's Seat" is mosty about the daily struggles of the trucking life. And my show on @mspwaves is intended to be a variety style show. With wide ranging topics focusing on just having fun as the ultimate goal.
Theres even an amsr community!
Communities
The thought has crossed my mind many times to just start a couple of my own communties. Since there are no categories. Like a "Trucking" or "Vlogs" communties. But the vlogs is pretty much a tag and there definitely isnt any other truck drivers besides me on hive yet. So that would pretty much be me talking to myself Which I do enough of that already, lol.
So what do you people think? I am open to any and all suggestions. What existing communties should I stick with posting to? Should I start one specifically for my content?

My opinion is that those general communities will not get you much engagement as nobody is going to read all the posts fishing for rewards. The issue with special interest communities (like trucking) is that we don't have enough people to make them viable. It should be about getting your content to the audience who will appreciate it, but we still have a way to go. I have created a few communities, but they have yet to take off.
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of posts written specifically for the rewards. I dont even consider that content creation.
Being that I'm probably the first truck driver on hive it would pretty dang quiet in that community, lol.
What communities have you started? Anything I might be interested in?
I created a guitar community that gets some activity. Also one for home automation, but even I'm not posting there lately.
I love playing guitar. Wish I actually knew how to play. I can fake it mostly. Lol!

I was already following it, lol.
I occasionally do some guitar-oke. Just jamming to a backing track or drum machine. Ive posted a couple to 3Speak and lbry. Ill start posting those in that community.

Those are all good suggestions but the only one that would even remotely resemble my content would be Power House Creatives. Lol. I'll talk with @jaynie and see if it would be a good fit. I value her input as much as I value your Nathan! Thank you!
I tried years ago to get an improv community going on steem and hive. Just trying to go with the flow now. If something works, keep doing it. And congrats on the mspwaves show! That's a good opportunity to promote your work.

I love the mspwaves crowd. All good people, fun to hang out with. They all seem to be the kind of people that I would hang out at a bar on the weekend with.
I cant say enough good about them!
That is a struggle I go through every day with book reviews. I'd love it if people had read them. There are no book communities big enough so I usually post them on OCD. The ones who comment on them are the ones I interact with most of the time and aren't always from the community itself.
I guess the closest I think is suitable for you is (other than OCD) powerhousecreatives. I especially like this community for its spontaneousness.
Thats what I was thinking as well. I just asked them in their discord about it. PHC has got the most beautiful and professional looking posts and I dont want to tarnish that reputation. Lol.
