Hello guys!

Happy 2021 to all, welcoming the second month of the Year as well. After a while of rest I got ready to bring you more of my content. "Noche San Felipe" (More than cultural spaces, an experience) This is an event that seeks to strengthen the cultural offer in the City of Bogotá-Colombia. Bringing the public closer to the local and international art scene…. Under the #NSF it takes its name from the neighborhood that houses it located on 72 and 80 streets between Caracas avenues and 24 of the city.

Opinions like:

"It is a wonderful space to show emerging artists " "Very vibrant art scene in great neighborhood" "A night to let yourself be carried away by the dreams and delusions of plastic artists and their works"

They surround the great and lovely work of this one. Demonstrating the personal fantasy of each space.

NOW
Much talk and fallacy. Let's start with the first point. Noche San Felipe consists of galleries-spaces that open their doors to the public for a week or nights to showcase new trends and emerging artists.

These Galleries have their names as many numbers identified with letters to guide users on their journey. (Outline of the map). Each space has different theme

My tour

I enjoy dynamism, variety and authenticity. The first collection I visited was located inside Estudio 74, a space that was distributed over 2 levels with ample spaces.
Count on a double height in the central part and a mini bar. This collection for privacy reasons it was difficult for me to capture any record or photo, this was quite graphic videos of menstruation as an icon, spiritual representation and control of female empowerment. Its objective was clear, to break the taboo most discussed by society "Menstruation"

Images of menstruation used as organic fertilizer, facial masks, portraits made with the fluids made it stay in my memory as a unique exhibition.

Following my journey, I found this great exhibition within it. If you stop for a moment you can see that the piece was made on invoices and receipts. You might think he wanted to show how something as conventional as invoice can become art, but let me tell you that it is not.
This piece was made on invoices from textile companies and invoices from costume store companies.

Showing how industries continue to use animal matter for the production of their products, making a call to action to stop this massive abuse that is disguised behind the market power they wield. This is how the artist expressed it when he revealed his pieces, an excellent presentation. The curator mentioned that the exhibitor's life was wrapped up in his experiences of him during the many trips he made to Cuba and Italy. Taking pop culture and current situations as reference and inspiration. Make fun and show the other side of society . Is this a Future Wharhol? Who knows ...

In this, his concept was born from the bills of expenses generated by the few humanitarian food funds that indigenous communities receive.

"Hell gallery"

Delighted with this gallery. Rock, punk, bizarre art, and some hype make the gallery a true modern hell. In this there were stands where you could locate yourself with a variety of merchandise of interest: posters, stickers, calendars, badges, pins, etc

The treatment of the managers and users was excellent, each one taking their proper biosecurity measures. Located inside the gallery is a mini bar for the enjoyment of visitors as well as the functionality of contribution for artists.

"Support us so that hell continues to burn."

Definitely a Nirvana.

If you are in Bogotá or want to visit these spaces, I recommend it without a doubt, enjoy the galleries of NOCHE SAN FELIPE.
