Hello everyone 👋
It’s the 1st of December and I think it’s alright to start talking and feeling all things festive as it’s no doubt our favourite time of the year. Those who know us would know how much we love spending quality time with family, gifting and feasting and this is just the season for all of that.
To kick off the festivities at home, we put up the Christmas tree. We put up the tree around mid-November so that is considered a bit early for some… personally if I could the tree would’ve been up the beginning of November as I was super excited to celebrate something on the happier occasion. Reason being.. yeah, covid and lockdown. No surprise there. When do you usually put up your tree?
Hubby helped bring out our Christmas tree and decorations from the storage and left me with the baby and furbaby to get started and put up the tree. Obviously it meant just me getting it started.
My extra helpers this year would rather take the baubles off the tree than putting them on. Extra work chasing them to get them back too. It was at this point where I needed real help and hubby finally joined us like how it’s meant to be.
We changed our tree topper this year as hubby didn’t like the one we had last year ( it was a pretty one too). This one lights up!
Aaannddd all done!
We have a Mickey Mouse theme going on this year with the wreath on our door to match our tree topper.
Here are close ups of some of the special little ornaments on the tree we have. I’m looking to get more however I couldn’t find anything I really like this year. Most the stuff at the shops are the same as last year’s.
Hello there 😄
View from outside at night.
We had to put a barricade around the tree to stop with baby and furbaby from reaching out to grab the baubles and also to prevent them from getting to the presents once we put them under the tree.
Didn’t quite work out as he could reach through.
We’ve also started taking a couple of amateur photos to mark down this year’s Christmas. Originally we wanted to have professional photos done with Santa however I didn’t like how it’s not like before how we could sit with Santa. Instead we need to sit at a distance for everyone’s safety but the photos end up looking weird. I’d much rather do my own without Santa if that’s the case.
Do you celebrate Christmas? Have you put up any decorations around the house?
OMG I love the Mickey theme! Love the tree!!!
