HOW TO COPE WITH ENVY AND JEALOUSY

in OCD4 years ago

Hello everyone! I hope I meet you all well. I got inspired by what has been happening around me and I think and feel I should share here.

Anything I share here is based on true life and I will as well share my thoughts about the issue on the ground.
First and foremost, I would love to talk about envy and jealousy the way I understand it.

The similarities between these two are that they are both a feeling and for me, they are likely to come with evil thoughts. Jealousy usually comes with a third party. I see jealousy as an occurrence that transpires as a result of a threat from another person with the same attribute as yours. Envy a feeling has to do with not having what some other person does has.

The world generally has never been a really good place because of the people who live in it. Since when I was a kid, my dad never really allows me to relate with other kids, and I think that was one of the reasons he sent me to a boarding school where I just come back for holidays and stay indoors. He always tells me that it's too dangerous out there.

I was always sad that I am not allowed to go out but as time went on, I got to be entitled to responsibilities and I now understand why he said that.
Do you know that even in the church, there is evil? So you are never really safe out there.

Sometimes we do not choose responsibilities for ourselves, but we just find ourselves there and we can not really run away from it. I have been given responsibilities especially in the church and the experience is quite fascinating.
Below are some points you should know to make you a better person if you find yourself in that position like mine.

In my opinion, I have come to realize that those who envy or jealous of you for who are, actually make you better.

You have to understand that the people that envy you or are jealous of you, can never be you! That is what should make you keep your head up and be focused on any responsibility you're given!

You should never settle for less. Always aim higher!

One important point I want to share here is PRAYER. Be prayerful cos prayer works!

Thanks for reading!
