I am Zeliana Orellana Araujo, as you can see, I belong to the small percentage of people who do not have a middle name, my mother had one planned but then decided not to, for personal reasons. I am a proud Venezuelan, who has currently resided in Colombia for 5 years, being my third visit to this country that has extended a hand to me, helped me and always welcomed me in the best way.
Soy Zeliana Orellana Araujo, como pueden observar, pertenezco al pequeño porcentaje de personas que no tienen un segundo nombre, mi mamá tenía uno planeado pero luego decidió que no, por razones personales. Soy una orgullosa venezolana, que actualmente reside en Colombia desde hace 5 años, siendo mi tercera visita a este país que me ha tendido la mano, me a ayudado y recibido siempre de la mejor manera.
I have 5 children, four daughters and a son, who have given me a very important life lesson. Although my wish is to have them all together with me, sadly the first two were raised in Venezuela, along with my mother, who took care of them with all her heart, they are used to their grandmother, and although they have been here in Colombia a couple of times, they always want to return home to their grandmother. My last 3 children are with me here in Magangué, with whom I share my daily life.
I have been married for almost 3 years to the father of my children, who has faithfully accompanied me on my path, and has been my great company in Colombia. I must say that he is Colombian and we met here, and him being one of the main things that has made me fall in love with Colombia.
Tengo 5 hijos, cuatro hijas y un hijo, los cuales me han dado una lección de vida muy importante. Aunque mi deseo es tenerlos a todos juntos a mi, tristemente fueron criadas las primeras dos en Venezuela, junto a mi madre, quien las a cuidado con todo el corazón, ellas están acostumbradas a su abuela, y aunque si han estado aquí en Colombia un par de veces, ellas siempre están con el deseo de volver a casa con su abuela. Mis últimos 3 hijos están conmigo aquí en Magangué, con quienes comparto mis día a día.
Estoy casada desde hace casi 3 años con el papá de mis hijos, quien me ha acompañado fielmente en mi camino, y siendo mi gran compañía en Colombia. Debo contar que él es colombiano y nos conocimos aquí, y siendo él una de las principales cosas que me han enamorado de Colombia.
My parents taught me the value of learning new things, many people are surprised when they know that I have certain hobbies such as knitting, and knowledge of some tasks such as being an electrician to being a cook. Many think that life is short, but, at my young age, I have already learned about different topics that can be very useful in everyday life? Why couldn't others think of useful things like growing in knowledge? Life is not short at all, it is very long, and I realize that every day, therefore, I feel that I have a whole life to experience and explore in the beauty that life has for us.
Mis padres me enseñaron el valor de aprender cosas nuevas, muchas personas se sorprenden cuando saben que tengo ciertos hobbies como tejer, y conocimientos de algunas labores como de electricista hasta de cocinera. Muchos piensan que la vida es corta, pero, ¿si yo a mi corta edad ya he aprendido sobre diferentes temas que en la vida cotidiana pueden ser de gran utilidad? ¿Por qué no podrían los demás pensar en cosas útiles como crecer en conocimiento?, la vida no es nada corta, es muy larga y me doy cuenta cada día de eso, por ende, siento que tengo una vida entera para experimentar y explorar de lo bello que la vida tiene para nosotros.
I like to watch movies and television series, and even more so when I am doing my favorite hobby (knitting), which has been my greatest investment of time and patience since my nephew Mathias came into the world, who inspired me to this beautiful art of creating. With thread and needles. Currently, I am dedicated to being a housewife, and in my free time I knit.
Me gusta ver películas y series televisivas, y más aún cuando estoy en mi pasatiempo favorito (tejer), el cual a sido mi mayor inversión de tiempo y paciencia desde que llegó al mundo mi sobrino Mathias, quien me inspiró a este bello arte de crear con hilo y agujas. Actualmente me dedico a ser ama de casa, y en tiempos libres a tejer.
In itself, I think I have a lot and a little to say, I am a simple woman with a life that may not be very interesting, but I have many things that I would like to share here, such as experiences, my creations with thread and needles and recipes that I have learned. And I love them from this country, and that I usually cook from my previous home.

En sí, creo que tengo mucho y poco que decir, soy una mujer sencilla y con una vida quizás no muy interesante, pero tengo muchas cosas que me gustaría compartir aquí, como experiencias vividas, mis creaciones con hilo y agujas y recetas que he aprendido y me encantan de este país, y que suelo cocinar de mi anterior hogar.
