Hello all my friends
Friends!!
On this occasion I return to this amazing community to share some amazing images that I found in nature.
Like a bird that has been kept for a long time with love, when we release it into the wild, the bird will still return to its original place, namely the cage that we provide with love for it.
Truly amazing.
Likewise with me personally, wherever I go to a community, this community is still the one that is most remembered in my heart, because this community made me get to know this platform better, and I got a lot of experience here, not to forget thousands of words of gratitude to brother @biologistbrito who has provided a lot of information that has helped me a lot to make amazing posts, and it can be said that one of the reasons I diligently make posts in this community is because of him, how could it not be, he always makes us who are in this community feel very comfortable, even his good words make us more enthusiastic to make the next post. and look at how amazing the changes in this community have been in the last few weeks.
Good my friend
At this meeting I want to share some pictures from my apaxel lens, which I bought online and the price is very affordable, which is around 10 dollars.
The Apexel 18X25 lens is one of the additional lenses on a cellphone camera, with features such as 18x zoom, a lightweight and portable design, and compatibility with various types of cellphones. This lens is perfect for users who want to take long-distance photos, such as sports events, concerts, or travel.
And this time I will try it in the forest, with the main target being medium-sized birds and insects.
Okay my friends.
Here are some of the results of the lens that I took a few weeks ago with a little explanation about the amazing nature around us.
squirrel
My friend!!
The first image I found was "squirrel".
squirrel is an animal from the Sciuridae family, a family that includes small or medium-sized rodents.
my friend, you can see more information here
https://id.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bajing_kelapa
And this animal lives in almost all habitats, from tropical rainforests to semi-arid deserts, only avoiding the high polar regions and the driest deserts.
Some people think this animal is the same as treeshrew, even though the differences between the two are very far, one of which is that treeshrew is generally an omnivorous predator that preys on ticks, insects, and other small animals. While squirrel is generally a herbivore that eats geluk fruit, fruits, nuts and seeds, therefore it is often considered a pest and hunted by local people.
Amathusia phidippus
My friend!!
The next picture I found is a butterfly, in our language this butterfly is usually called "King of the Palm" and it is a type of "Amathusia phidippus"
Amathusia phidippus is a butterfly found in India and Southeast Asia.source:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amathusia_phidippus
My friend!!
I found it when they were in mating season, because when I saw it a pair perched there.
And the first time I saw it I was immediately amazed because of its size and very striking color.
Libellulidae family.
My friend!!
The next picture is a species of dragonfly in the Libellulidae family.
It is a medium-sized dragonfly with a wingspan of 60-85mm. The adults are gray to greenish yellow with black and pale markings and green eyes. And it preys voraciously on butterflies and smaller dragonflies.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthetrum_sabina
Sriganti sunbird
Then I saw a small bird perched on a cocoa tree.
It is the "Sriganti Honey Bird"
My friend!!
This bird is a type of bird that eats nectar, fruit, small insects, and spiders. Birds live in yards, coastal bushes, and mangrove forests.
My friend!!
The characteristics of this bird are that it has a small body with a male body length of around 10 to 11.4 cm and a body weight of around 6.7 to 11.9 grams. While the female only weighs 6-10 grams. This bird has a long, pointed beak, is warm-blooded, and reproduces by laying eggs (oviparous).Source:https://id.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burung_madu_sriganti
Javanese turtle dove
And again I found a bird, this time it perched on an oil palm tree.
The bird I found this time was the Javan Turtle Dove, it is a species of bird in the Columbidae family.https://id.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perkutut_jawa
I think this bird is a type of bird that only eats seeds. However, it is possible that this bird also eats insects in its natural habitat. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
My friend!!
The Javan Turtle Dove (often called the local Turtle Dove) has a small body (21 cm). This bird has a slender body and a long tail. Its head is gray, with a neck and sides with fine lines, and a brown back with black edges.
butterfly
Then I found the butterfly again, I took a picture when it was perched on a wild flower
Do you know my friend?
Butterflies land on wildflowers primarily to search for nectar as a food source, and in the process, they help pollinate the plants. Butterflies absorb nectar, and pollen sticks to their bodies. When they move to another flower, the pollen is carried with them, aiding the pollination process and allowing the plant to produce new seeds.
Magpie robin
And the last picture I share is a kutilang
Like most merbahs, this bird's food is mainly soft fruits. The kutilang is often annoying to farmers because it often makes holes in ripe papaya and banana fruits in the garden. However, behind that, this bird is also beneficial to farmers because it preys on various types of insects, caterpillars, and various other small animals that are plant pests.
And I personally found this bird on a banana plantation when I visited the plantation. The kutilang is a type of songbird from the Pycnonotidae family.https://id.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketilang
Okay my friends, those are some of the pictures that I shared at this meeting.
Hopefully you all are entertained and like what I share at this meeting.
Previously I apologize if the pictures are a little less good, because the quality of the lens is also in accordance with its price, and I personally am very satisfied with the results considering the affordable price.
Okay my friends, that's enough for now, see you in the next post.
