Nature Acting Strange but I Need it

Hello friends and fellow Hivians. Today I have decided to take a day off from the hustling and bustling I have done recently. My witness of nature these last few weeks has included sunrises and sunsets. I haven't missed one as I drive into work seeing the sun rise and I'm delivery driving when it sets.

This morning when I woke up, I decided to stay laying in my bed. Now it was about 7:30 when I did roll out. I realized I need a re-charge and something different from how I have spent the last few weeks. The last week and half here the weather here has been strange to say the least. We have seen Fahrenheit temperatures in the 40s, 50s and even the 60s. Before that we had artic temperatures that were absolutely bone chilling. Above picture of me, is one weekend morning fighting with it as I was delivery driving. Today it is close to 60 and I want to brush with nature. It's only February, the extreme cold will be back, so I have to take advantage!

I decided to check out a local lake nearby. Oh the poor geese, they have to be confused because normally they would be flocked up further down South where its warmer. I can't recall seeing so many of them this time of year. As I watched them and I heard other birds in the distance like it was fall or spring.

There's still leftovers of the really cold days from not that long ago. I would have expected to see some geese walking on the ice. What I didn't expect was seeing this family testing it out. The ice was once around 12 inches, but it surely is not due to the warmer temperatures. At least they are close to the shoreline where the water is only a few feet deep. There were a lot of people out today walking, riding bikes, and just hanging outside. Most had no coats and were wearing fall themed clothing.

At a different part of the lake there is open water mixed with ice. I was thinking of making a quick pit stop and grabbing my poles, haha. Not to fish on the thin ice but the open water near it. I did see one individual doing just that, but I decided not for me today. I was in a photographer mode and enjoyed walking around.

My next stop was checking out the Missouri River. I noticed right away how low it appears. How cold was it here a few weeks ago? This river was frozen which doesn't always happen every year due to it having a pretty fast current. It was cool to witness sheets of ice floating downstream and seeing a lot of it on the shoreline. I spent the most time here just witnessing the sure power of the river.

It's a really strange winter here. Yes, it's been bone-chilling cold but the warmer weather is very shocking. There is one other detail about this winter which has got a lot of people surprised. It has to do with snow, we have accumulated just less than an inch. There was twice where we were to suppose to get hammered, but it missed us both times to the South. I can not recall a time not shoveling snow by this time. I have to say I'm not a huge fan of snow, but part of me misses it a little.

I got my nature itch just by spending time in the great outdoors. Both my mental and physical being definitely feels improved. Great old Amazing Nature is the best free medicine you can take.

Take care, stay safe and have a great week ahead! Until next time!

First two photo look so stunning, a beautiful view i'll wish I can witness everyday and before the night falls. But seriously though, the whether is so weird in here too. It is too hot yesterday, as in really hot but then during midnight it will be too cold and even until right now at 6:40 am and i not even outside, I'm still inside my room. It is too cold. This is the reason why a lot of people are getting sick, cough and everything. Aigooo.

Anyways this is such a nice walk outside. A good way to relax.

Sun rises and sunsets sets are available most days. They are amazing here in the winter but there not ever exactly the same.

A lot of weather irregularities all over the place. Is the world coming to an end? Haha. Yes fluctuations lead to getting sick, catching colds or the lingering viruses floating around.

Thank you and today was much needed for several reasons!

The weather here in the Philippines is getting weird too. The rainy season is done and it's supposed to be hotter but our weather is getting colder and we have experienced rain these past few days.

Nothing is consistent when it comes to weather no matter where your at. I seem to reminder the weather use to be according to season I guess not anymore, haha. Hey no complaints from me, warm weather in February is awesome for here, haha. I couldn't let another day like this pass me so I decided to enjoy it :)

Wow I was expecting a fishing photo.

Not this time, haha

I have seen people fishing under frozen lakes on YouTube quite often; maybe you can try this out.

Not now though the ice is too thin due the warmer weather. I have ice fished plenty of times so it wouldn't be a new experience.

Wow this is nice to hear but sadly for me I have not seen you do ice fishing through viewing photos that you shared Maybe I missed those blog posts of yours.
