Frosty is back with a vengeance

I really do like it when winter has some genuine winter vibes to it. To me that doesn't mean endless drizzle and grey weather. But I do mean some nice blue skies and where the crisp on everything when you walk out in the morning.

This morning I was passing somewhere at a random place and decided to stop for a bit and walk around since it felt so hidden and frosty had taken over the scenery.

What about all of these frozen little grasses giving the contrast to the background that seems full colour again (thank god, it felt like January was entirely black and white episode of life). Everywhere where the sun was hitting the ground it was green again, meaning that frosty is only the temporary inhabitant over here.

In general over here we don't get a lot of crisp dry weather. Usually there is moist in the air, where you can also see on these leaves that you some sort of build up on the leaves making the icepicks bigger and bigger on them

The water is also playing along

Yeah it was even that cold that a small layer of ice was forming at different locations. Dutchies are a huge fan of ice and iceskating, so when there is even the slightest hint of ice formation, the whole nation wakes up and starts to look on what the ice is doing.

In this case ...so did I. But honestly I don't think that that this will stand a chance, because the sun is getting stronger already and the day temperatures are like 5 degrees celcius above zero.

Regardless, this ice is all fun to see. And even when you look closer at the puddles that have frozen over, that almost looks like a work of art as you can see here down below. Those patterns are weird right? I really don't understand what part gets white and what part stays clear. Anyone can explain that to me?

As the forecast tells us this sort of weather will continue for the next week or so and I am super happy with it. Good vibes and even though it below zero, I do very much some spring vibes here and there. Also the birds seem so chirp a bit louder again, or do I just want to hear this ;)

All of this calls for more walks outside!

Regardless, I would have frosty days over any other grey and rainy day. So happy weekend over here! I hope you enjoy yours also to the fullest!

Nice pics!

Yeah!!! Well the scenery was super awesome so this was an easy one ;)

It's really amazing, the natural beauty is so amazing, I saw the snow falling on the grass, it was so beautiful ❤️

Snow is really something awesome, but this was more because of the ice.

Where did you see the snow?

Thanks for the find!
