Every night he watches the turtles climb, helps them as needed during their task to dig their hole and places a mark on the precise location of their nest. The next day, he will dig the nests of turtles to recover the eggs deposited during the night by the female. These eggs, he will place in another nest that he has dug himself in the sand of the beach and around which he will have placed a fence whose role is to prevent crabs from passing. This avoids a first predator. About 50 days later, he will dig this nest again to monitor the hatching of baby turtles, pick them up and drop them on the beach himself, ensuring that dogs and birds do not come to enjoy. Two new predators are thus avoided. For the rest, it will be the baby turtles to outmaneuver marine predators, such as large fish, sharks and seabirds... A life that can quickly end where it started...
