A Hungry Rabbit in My Collage for LMAC #167

shaka 167 rabbit eating blend.gif
I offer a simple collage and a simple blog today. I have been working really hard updating the house and have little time or energy. But the collage is so relaxing I had to make one.

contest (#167), was gorgeous (I don't compete in the contest).@shaka's template for this week's

I played around with image because that was relaxing, but most of my efforts came to naught. Yesterday afternoon I was tearing up rugs, scraping a floor and painting over spackle. Today I was pulling up weeds and bleaching a floor. The collage was a nice place to rest. It's not surprising I guess that the result was a peaceful rabbit, quietly munching on a bit of green.

I owe a debt to colleagues in LMAC for the images they contributed to LIL, the LMAC Image Gallery.

boulder. So many wonderful pictures you offer on LIL and I settle on a simple boulder :)Thank you @redheadpei for the

plant has lent itself to so many uses in my collages.Thank you @yaziris for the rabbit's food. That single

gecko/lizard.. This little green creature has found its way also into many of my collages. Nice looking lizard :)Thank you @muelli for the

rainbow! The pictures of your dog are I think the best of yours (to me!🐕) on LIL, but the rainbow was really stunning, also :)Thank you, @seckorama for the beautiful

For the rabbit I have to thank myself, and my husband for going with me to the garden where we saw this fine animal.

Also, I must thank a contributor on Unsplash, Christian Cacciamani, whose picture of a tropical island filled the foreground of my collage.

Here are some photos that show adventures and misadventures on my way to the final result:

I used Paint, Paint 3D and GIMP to size, layer and manipulate the different layers in my final GIF. The animation is quite subtle and was accomplished with the help of the blend filter on GIMP.

LMAC and LIL

Making collages is a creative exercise and a learning experience. Every time I manipulate an image I pick up new skills. This week I made a rabbit's nose twitch :) Please check out our winners from last week's contest, just published today. Tomorrow a new template will be published. Make a collage and join in the fun.

You can see that LIL, the LMAC Image Library, was an essential part of my collage creating process this week. Everyone on Hive can contribute to the library and everyone can borrow from the library. Learn about the procedure here.

I wish all my readers peace and health.

Thank you for reading my blog

Really cute how it uses its mouth, this giant rabbit. And it looks amazingly real doing it.
Great collage and admirably well animated, @agmoore. 👍

👋🙂

Thank you for that kind assessment. I find the blend filter works well if there is continuous, looped motion and there are very few frames. Otherwise the frames start overlapping and the result is confusing.Hello @quantumg,

I appreciate your comment very much.

What a lovely collage. How clean it looks and, of course, I love the large rabbit.

Thanks for including my lil image. At first I thought it was the rabbit until I saw it was the boulder.

Did you move or just updating your home. Either way don’t work too hard, my friend. 💕

Hello my friend @redheadpei, You have so many wonderful pictures on LIL. I felt a little bad using a humble rock, but it spoke to me in its lovely setting. So it happened😇

I am still getting ready to move!! There is so much to do. I didn't realize when this started what would be involved, but in a way it's good. I am more fit now than when I started. The old house needed a facelift and it's happening, the old fashioned way.

Thank you for stopping by. I think of you and your little critters when I take my pictures of birds, squirrels and little animals.

Hope your late spring is a lovely one.

Take care my friend.

Hello agmoore. The rainbow is kept by a siligiso rabbit and released into the sky when it rests. That's why the atmosphere feels so peaceful.

It is very nice.

I love that image! I'm glad you feel the peace also.

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.

Very great editing is done. After editing, the picture looks much more beautiful. The way Rambo has been edited in the second picture also looks very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! This is a kind of relaxation therapy. I have become addicted to making these weekly collages. There is freedom, and yet I am part of a community so there is sharing.

I appreciate your support and your kind comment.

Hay una energía especial en los paisajes que integran arcoíris. Suelen ser hermosos y alegres. Es una alegría cromática. Y tu arcoiris tiene algo de estrella fugaz.
Un abrazo, @agmoore.

Hola, @adncabrera, The rainbow came early in the process. No matter what else happened, the rainbow was going to stay.

Thanks so much for visiting and for your kind words. Warm regards my friend.

I quickly read the title as 'A hungry rabbit ate my collage' so had the picture enlarged and was examining it very carefully. I do make myself laugh🙃

Oh you crazy girl! I'd rather move house! I moved in here 3 years ago with 2 suitcases, a jukebox and an armchair and I haven't changed a thing at all. In fact lots of the previous owners stuff is still in the presses. When the place gets shabby enough I'll move on:)

😂

I love it.

I am moving. That's the problem. It's been almost 49 years in the same house. We never really paid much attention to cosmetics. Just the basics. Time to see the house through other eyes, and it needs a bit of a cosmetic facelift. I was ready to hire help, but my daughter (frugal) said we can do it (!!!) In a way it's fun. She and I have tackled this and I am quite proud that I can do what I have done. But, never again.😵

lots of the previous owners stuff is still in the presses

I rocked my first child to sleep on a chair left behind by previous owners. Nice chair.

Oh my goodness! 49 Years! You must have accumulated some stuff!
If I last another year here it'll be 4 years, which is as long as I have ever lived in the same place.
Fair play to ya and the best of luck. You're either very brave or bordering on the batty:)

bordering on the batty

I think most people who know me would endorse that assessment😁

The picture looks very real
At first, I was thinking that it was real
Hahaha
Nice work!!!

The picture looks very real

😇

The rabbit is real, anyway. I tried and tried to make this more dramatic, but a peaceful rabbit was the outcome.

Thanks very much for visiting and for appreciating my simple collage. Take care, @rafzat

How nice! I like simple interventions that tell something. Looking at the process, I don't know if it's my idea or it was intended that way, but in the first image, the shape of the rock with the person on top that you added is shaped like a rabbit! I thought the replacement on the second try was great. I usually see animals, people or objects in blobs, rocks, clouds.... I think there are hidden beings in those shapes.

Yes! I saw the rabbit and that's how it came to be. I also see images in shapes that might not be obvious to others. @quantumg told me there's a name for this: pareidolia. Apparently some people are inclined toward pareidolia more than others. The rabbit was there before I put it there :))

A few years ago I started to make digital drawings and then became aware that what we see only exists because of the way we see light. I think that can be very subjective.

Thanks for your interesting, and kind comment @lauraptis.

Ah, yes, pareidolia. Some time ago I started to take pictures of trees (at first) in which I saw faces and I started drawing them, lately I didn't have time to continue but I'm going to take it up again. It's an exercise that comes to me almost without even thinking about it. I love it!

Very creative, as always! Thanks!

Thank you very much for the kind words and encouragement, @one-eye

Thanks for mentioning me, @agmoore, I feel honored 😊. Yeah, I enjoy making these collages too, in fact, everyone is a challenge I'm trying to solve. Sometimes it's more successful, sometimes less. But I've learned Photoshop more all this time than in all the years before. That's worth something too. Otherwise, maybe I'm getting late because of all these new AI tools that also require learning, again. Well, we'll see what time brings.

I loved your rainbow. Thank you! And your dog does have the most remarkable face--great expression. Thanks for all the interesting pictures you post to LIL. Makes collage creation so much more fun.

AI--I'm not opposed to new tools, but I'm more of a basic craft builder. Even when I garden I sit in the dirt and pull the weeds. No fancy tools for me.

I appreciate your comment, @seckorama. Tomorrow we begin with a new collage challenge....

All these photos come out very nice I liked the rainbow 🌈 designs looks like so reall and the environment is so peaceful and soothing to our eyes.

Thank you very much! Peace was the feeling I wanted as I made the collage. Rabbits don't intimidate, ever 😇. And rainbows suggest hope. I'm glad that sense came through.

I appreciate the comment, @sanach

A very interesting collage, my best friend for this.

Thank you, @mnurhiver. I appreciate it!
