Happy New Year to everyone! My first LIL (LMAC Image Gallery) contribution for the year will start off my participation with flare, I hope. Here you will find some odd images: a pig's eye; a goat's eye; a pig's ear. It always amazes me how the artists in the LMAC community use images from LIL. Imagination is inexhaustible.
Most of these pictures were taken during a family outing at a local farm. In some cases choices between pictures was hard. The one below, for example, shows a goat eating a discarded Christmas tree. There is another that I am contributing which shows the goat more clearly eating the tree.
At the end of my picture list are three figures that were made with the help of several programs: Make Human (thank you @quantumg for introducing me to this); GIMP, Paint 3D, and Lunapic. When I made each of these figures I had a model in mind.
Mussolini, Attila, Amelia Earhart
- For the first figure I imagined Benito Mussolini. Here is a head shot of Mussolini I found on Wikimedia Commons

The camicia nera--blackshirt--was the uniform of Mussolini's fascisti when they began marauding through Italy in 1919. The blackshirt remained part of the fascist uniform until Italy was defeated in WWII.
- For the second figure I imagined Attila the Hun.

Attila (406-453) earned the name Scourge of God when he swept across Europe, pillaging and ravaging as he went. His raids helped to hasten the end of a fast declining Roman Empire.
- For the third image I imagined Amelia Earhart.

Amelia Earhart was a pioneer aviator. She was the first woman to pilot a plane solo across the Atlantic Ocean (1932). She flew from Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, to Londonderry, Northern Ireland. As much celebrity as that solo flight earned her, she became a legend in 1937 after an attempted flight around the world ended in disaster. Amelia Earhart disappeared and was never heard from again.
None of my three figures actually resembles the person on whom it is modeled. Still, the models do infuse the figures with personality, I think. Making them was great fun and a learning exercise.
LIL
Though I reference collages when describing my LIL images, every picture in the LMAC LIL gallery is available for use by anyone on Hive. And anyone on Hive may contribute to the Gallery. Once the images are posted there, they are in the public domain. Procedures for contributing and borrowing are explained here.
Soon the LMAC collage contest will resume for 2023. When the announcement is made, I will post that on my blog. Look for it :)
