August is slowly coming to a close. I hear the cicada at night, so that means fall is in the wings. I'm not ready for winter, although I guess without the contrast of winter summer wouldn't seem so glorious.
The pictures I'm contributing to #LIL today represent recent events in my family. We have a new dog, a beautiful puppy. He is white and young, and lively. We also have a cat, a 16-year-old cat. This gent is still spry. The dog wants to dominate, but is learning that the cat has claws for a reason :)
Some of these pictures were taken at a local historic site, Sagamore Hill, President Theodore Roosevelt's home. Some were taken in Europe, where my daughter and granddaughter recently traveled. Some pictures were taken at home. A few of these pictures were featured recently in blogs I posted in other communities. Today I make them available to all of Hive, as copyright-free resources.
In all, the pictures represent some of the good things in life, some of the happier days my family has recently enjoyed. I hope my readers get a sense of the joy--and wonder--I get when I look at these.

Magnificent collaboration. All the photographs are very good and have a lot of potential. I’m eager for the #lmac contests to start so I can use them and let my imagination run wild. My favorite is the one with the puppy; it looks very, very cute. #LIL

The collages are all great and I praise your efforts in helping stock the library with photos. They would be a lot helpful to hive writers in need of images. From the pictures it seems your granddaughter and daughter had lots of fun during the travels, definitely unforgettable memories were made. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.
And oh, don't worry about winter, I'm sure you will manage just fine when it comes. Here it's harmattan for us and the chills are unbearable.

Yes, the two women did have a lovely, memorable trip. My granddaughter is over there now and I worry about her on her own, but that's normal for a grandmother to do, isn't it? As for winter, they've been warmer in the past few years. Back in the 50s there seemed to be so much more snow. So I guess you're right--I will manage:)
