I am on the road and using someone else's laptop. Very awkward! I remember those party line phones. Many times we didn't have a phone, but when we did we always knew someone might be listening in. I think we had to connect through an operator, also. You bring back memories.
I love your pictures in the gallery, and Red is especially attractive.I hope you have had a wonderful Thursday. Tomorrow I visit my brother in Atlanta, who is not well. I'm glad I have the opportunity to do this but the laptop is driving me crazy. I won't be on line much. The little mouse pad and tiny keys are no good for me.

Yes we had to connect with an operator to ring up anyone who wasn’t on our line.
