Hope is what will keep us going.
It is no news of the pandemic covid19. So the virus has taken lot of lives. This is a hard time for everyone especially the poor. Then there is the lockdown that doesn't let people go out to work and earn, what will happen to those who earn daily, who's source of income comes from leaving their home daily?
This is why Trump tried so hard to fight the virus and open the borders and calling off the lockdown on Easter day because he knew the impact and how bad the virus was going to affect economy if it stays longer. Despite effort by scientists to find a cure to curb the virus there has been no breakthrough. The market is dying. economy is dwindling. But there is hope..as long as there is life, there is hope.
The virus has been with us for like what six months. I think most people think finding a cure for a disease is like magic. There are like dozens of disease that up to this day there are no cure for.
Here in the Philippines it's the same. We have million of workers out of work. Businesses are close and we are still waiting for the vaccine. Our president said that once the vaccine becomes available that when everything will go back to normal. And we are months away. From what I read it may take a year and half for the development of the vaccine. So yeah. Hard times ahead.
The government is spending a lot on subsidies. Trying to keep families afloat during this time. But I think it is not sustainable. We may have to start opening up little by little.
Although the economy is tanking I think it is temporary. Once we get people out on the streets it'll jumpstart the businesses and the economy will recover.
Stay safe and I hope we all get through this.
