On the 12th of March, 2021, David Johansson and Nicky Li, the Co-Founders of Seascape Network, were live on the Shin Chan IEO/ICO Community Telegram group, to provide the community with insights on Seascape Network, details on their recent partnerships & upcoming developments, and also attend to their questions and queries.
In order to ensure clarity to my readers, this article has been divided into three segments; the first segment, gives full account of the questions asked by the moderator (Elson) of this session, the second segment gives account of Twitter questions, while the third segment gives account of the questions asked by Telegram community members.

David Johansson —
Sure thing! I’m David, and I’m founder and creative director of the Seascape Network. I’ve been developing games now for nearly ten years, with a diverse background ranging from mobile games to AAA titles.
Around 2015, I became heavily interested in the Bitcoin and Ethereum communities. Excited by the prospect of decentralization, and the potential impact this could have on gaming in the future, I partnered up with my long time colleague, Nicky Li and got to work on trying to bring what we thought was missing to the industry. To date, we’ve been very fortunate, from the success of our flagship game BLOCKLORDS, to the launch of our coin, and beyond. We’ve gotten the support from major players in the game, such as Binance, DaoMaker, LD Capital, and many many more. And I’m very excited to take this dream all the way to the limit.
Nicky Li —
Greetings all again, I’m Nicky. Passionate about games and stepped into the Gaming industry in 2014. Experience at established Chinese game studios such as Yoozoo, Forgame and Moonton. Worked as a project manager of League of Angels, which won the ‘BEST FACEBOOK GAME’ in 2014. It was a huge success and led to a very good market performance. Also worked as a designer and operation team leader on Liberators, a WW2 strategy game that also won the ‘BEST FACEBOOK GAME’ in 2016.
Currently leading development of Seascape Network. Personally I got into crypto because of CryptoKitties. Its success also gives me inspiration about combining the games with blockchain technology, allowing “play and earn” to become the next wave in the industry.

Twitter Question 1 —How the Seascape staking program will work??. How are you planning to reward from stake.?? .What do we have to do if we want to received this rewards and will the rewards be the same for everybody or will they changed depending on your staking?
David Johansson —
Being a DeFi game platform, we plan to offer various kinds of staking via our games, and also through partner events. Currently, users can stake Uni or Bakeryswap LP tokens in our first released game, profit circus, to earn APY’s above 250%!
By making staking and LP mining available through games, we also make it possible for other game devs to easily integrate DeFi directly into their own games. Something that is sure to increase the spread of blockchain gaming adoption!

Twitter Question 2— In March 2021, Seascape Network announced plans for an out-of-this-world partnership with Moonbeam. How through these new strategic partnerships, will Seascape be able to build several DeFi games on ETH and BSC? How will Moonbean contribute to this Seascape purpose?
David Johansson —
We’ve been working in the blockchain industry for many years now and have forged a lot of great connections along the way. Working with partners is not just a way to generate hype, it is mainly so we can access the latest innovations in blockchain technology and offer the best products possible to our users when it comes to DeFi gaming.
Moonbeam offers scalability in a decentralized manner while still being connected to Ethereum. BSC offers the speed and low costs that any gaming platform should have, and ETH is connected to the main value layer of DeFi. We will continue to build partnerships and build products with all the major protocols and DeFi players to ensure we offer the best DeFi games possible.
Twitter Question 3— As far as I can see, NFT and BSC are the next trend of new projects. As I know there are a lot of very good development projects on this platform, what do you think about this development?
Nicky Li —
Indeed BSC is really hot right now, as many of you may know, Binance is also one of our investors. Read more here.
We commited to build on BSC and we are happy to do so, not only because of the low gas fee and friendly develop environment, but also the users, we can reach so much users on BSC because right now people are scaried about ETH high gas fee and switched to BSC. As a NFT+DeFi gaming platform, there is no reason we play against it.
Now we already hit 5k pCWS holders on BSC and over 10k Scape NFTs have been minted just within half month of time!

But of course, we will keep building on ETH network and polkadot, because we believe still huge value there and worth to keep building on. We will make bridges between them so users can chosse the network they like to play & trade.

Twitter Question 4 — Collaborations and partnerships are some of the most important cornerstones to help improve adoption. Can you tell us about Seascape current partners, plans for partnerships and what everybody stands to gain from these partnerships?

So far we have forged partnership with game developers all around the world who will continue releasing products on our platform.

Our achievements include not only the projects we have released and are currently working on, but also an overall expansion into gamified defi unlike any way it has ever been done before. Our partnerships with strong companies such as Chainlink, DAO Maker, Binance and Moonbeam will only continue to expand as we grow our presence in the blockchain gaming field!
We are also in the process of creating a wide varitety of language groups specially catered to our global fanbase. We have initiated our Seascape Ambassador program in February. Twitter Question 5 — In what ways does Seascape make their platform user-friendly especially for beginners in the crypto ecosystem? Any training guides or manuals?
David Johansson —
The newness of DeFi and DeFi games does often lead to confusion for many new players. And it is imperative to understand how things work in order for both user and developer to succeed in our respective goals.
For this reason, we are creating walkthroughs with step by step guides, including images and links to help players understand our games, from the Strategy MMO BLOCKLORDS, to our new DeFi minigames. We also really want user feedback, especially in the early days, to help us correct any blindspots our team may have missed. So we hope that you all will join us for our launch fairly soon and lend us your suggestions on how we can make our games clearer.

SEGMENT 3
Community Question 1 — NFT is considered to be the next trend in the crypto industry after DeFi. Can you share your views on NFT? How do you see the future development of NFT functions in the next few years?
David Johansson —
NFTs have gathered a lot of attention recently, mainly driven by hype for collectibles. While collectibles are interesting, I don’t think they have most potential over the long term. NFTs are highly flexible digital assets that will soon serve very needed functions in all types of platforms having to do with for example invoicing, real estate, gaming, and royalties. We are mainly focused in NFT uses for DeFi and gaming, which we believe will have many more use cases than just collections.
Community Question 2— Can you explain how to mining in game? is it we play all the games from seascape platform will get $CWS?
Nicky Li —
Steps:
- Buy CWS/pCWS on Uniswap/BakerySwap.
- Add liquidity, CWS-ETH on Uniswap or pCWS-BNB on Bakeryswap.
- Go to game.seascape.network, Launch APP.
- Connect your wallet, play PROFIT CIRCUS.
- Deposit your LP token and begin earning.

Community Question 3 — Does Seascape accept free game developers? What are the requirements for game developers to join the Seascape Network? And how do developers get commissions or incentives?
David Johansson —
Yes, we are definitely interested in game developers joining the platform! During these early days we are working directly with a selected number of partners who will develop the games directly with us. As we improve our workflow and blockchain tools with these partners, we will make them available to indie game devs, and major studios all across the world.
Community Question 4 — Have you take your ..”Smart Contract Audit” ..because we know that security is the one of the very crucial and very sensitive issue in all projects and recently hacking is happen and they stole millions of thousands funds. What kind of security guard does SeaScape have?
Nicky Li —

Community Question 5— Really why would I prefer to create my own currency in Seascape games? That will give me more benefits and could I even list that coin with the characteristics I want? But what else would the Player Created Coin (PCC) be useful for?
David Johansson —
As a game dev, creating your own token gives you flexibility over your own game design, a way for early players to invest in you, and also a stable mechanism as it is backed by CWS. As a player, creating your own token will be a way mainly to have fun, and possibly profit from your in-game power.
Community Question 6— Since Seascape is focused only on NFT games and then trading them, does that mean that you will create the games or just provide the tools for NFT games to reach the next level?
Nicky Li—
We will create games. our Scape NFTs will be assets in games and player can mint/claim/earn them in different ways. Also we will keep releasing new games and create more and more use-case for our NFTs. For example in Staking Slaoon, you can stake Scape NFTs and earn CWS reward, in later other games, you can Stake NFTs to unlock some gameplay or LP mining pool etc.
Community Question 7— I wonder the what is the minimum token limit I need to buy for joining seascape ecosystem?
David Johansson —
There is no minimum token limit to join but we recommend having at least 5 crowns to offset the initial gas fees.
Community Question 8— How can users stay updated with this project? Are there channels, including local communities where users can get the latest updates?
David Johansson —
We are present on a number of social media on which we post regulars updates about our partnerships, games and more.
