A lot of people aren't actually interested at all to HEAR other's opinions, because of different reasons... Maybe they think that they are always in right, but maybe they weren't taught to listen at all... I very often stop and take a look at children... a lot of them didn't listen to their parents, don't care about anything outside their mobile phones...
And the worst thing of all is that majority of the people are lazy to think... Or, they are so occupied about some stupid things on TV, hypnotized by it and "sleeping" all their lives...
Luckily, we have great examples, also, as you are, and it's our duty to keep "thinkers" in our circle of close friends... And I'm glad that I have found you... ;)

Most of the time when I talk with people, I can't help to notice that most of their opinions have been picked up somewhere and are just repeated. I miss to see people evaluating different point of views and creating their own opinion. This can lead to very dangerous things. Let's say a country leader says something that is totally untrue. Then people just take it for a fact. This can lead people dying because they drank desinfectants ....

that's exactly what I meant by saying for some people to be "hypnotized"... lol... I would say that is a kind of laziness.. doesn't want to think at all, just do repeat...
