Practice Active Listening And Attention

If you want to be able to handle feedback adequately, you need to practice active listening and attention. Listening to negative feedback could be very annoying and might make you react in ways you ideally wouldn't have, making the need on how to handle negative feedback, more important than ever. So whenever you are getting a negative feedback from someone, try well to be listening and pay attention to every single word, they are saying. Whenever you are really listening and paying adequate attention, you won't be hurt by their hurtful words, if there is. While actively listening and paying adequate attention, always ensure you ask the someone who is giving you feedback, for more clarity on the negative feedback, with honest politeness, so you can know issue, and do your best on improving upon it. Most people will get a bit out of control, because many of us hate when we are been attacked, we tend to switch our defensive mechanism on, straight away, defending our points. But you should not act in such manner, you should listen attentively and ask questions. When you wire you mind to listen and ask questions, not in a rude manner, but in a manner of you wanting to understand the reason behind negative feedbacks and of ways you can improve on yourself. You will notice that you will be less angry and the someone who is giving you the feedback will be happy on how you handled the situation, and will most likely continue to give you his/her honest feedback, when needed. Now, the reason why you should remain calm to listen actively and pay full attention, is because, some people don't have a valid feedback, they just want to get you a bit angry or they don't know that their points are not valid enough and sometimes, they may be actually telling you some good advice. So, you have to listen actively and ask questions to know more of where the person giving the feedback is coming from and understands his/her point of view concerning the issue. By doing this, you are handling negative feedbacks adequately and also, improving on yourself to become a better version.

Hello friend, as entrepreneurs we must always be attentive to all criticism and if they are negative much more, maybe something is wrong and needs our attention. I think there will always be some kind of growth in every advice or constructive criticism that is given to us. Of course, we must keep in mind that there are people who only want to make us feel bad and we must be able to identify them. Do not let them affect us. Greetings.
