First, I stumbled upon this tweet from our Hive neighbor @lordbutterfly: https://t.co/qxkHfYlS1P?amp=1
I liked it. I trusted. I got the HiveTips extension.
After I signed up, I wanted to put it to the test. Sending a HiveTip over to @lightproject seemed like the next logical step. Let's take a look at that process as it appears on Twitter.
Number 1. Shows the tweet I decided to use as a tip platform. The little Hive button located to the far right of the tweet is what we use. Click it to initiate the tip verification process.
Number 2. My tip is acknowledged by @hivetips.
Number 3. This shows the replay that is necessary to accept the tip. Users receiving the tip must leave their account name in a reply to the HiveTips reply in their tweet. It's simple, the "@" symbol is not necessary.
Number 4. This reply shows the transaction with a reference link. Try it.
Think of the implications. We can reward those who promote Hive via Twitter with Hive! It's almost like forcing Twitter into the Hive economy. I think YouTube is next. Seems almost disruptive and a way to say, "Ok, do your centralized thing and while we force a cooperation with this decentralized-ish new Hive trick the Hive homie created for us. Have a nice day, TwitBro."
I wasn't expecting @lightproject to return the tip. Excellent tweet to chose though!
Let's look at the process of receiving a tip.

It's almost like Hive and Twitter are the same now.
@BandCamp needs to get somethin' for Hive, but anyway...

Thanks for reading. Thanks for supporting, contact me for custom broadcast music. Please pardon the delayed subject matter. It's been hard to post. Lots of changes, all is well.
