Good night, everyone!
Here is set of photos I took of a young girl who was sitting on the streets of Bratislava, while she practiced on her drawing skills.
This is my entry for the Hive Portrait Photography Contest - Week 13.
This girl was very focused on her drawing and kept analysing the overall painting before applying any further changes... 🤔
Here she is again, taking another look at her unfinished work.
Once she detected something to improve, she would get back to work and continue with her drawing... 🤗
This is the place she has picked up to practice, on this particular day... While she worked, most tourists would simply pass by without even noticing she was there.
And what was she painting, you ask...?
She was depicting the front of a church. This church:
This is the Kostol Zvestovania (Church of the Annunciation), located in the Františkánske Námestie (Franciscan Square), in the historical center of Bratislava.
The painting on the walls was peeling off. It looks to me that this particular building needs a good make up job. 😁
Photography and the Law
I know that some people, specially North Americans, believe that it is illegal to post a photo of someone without their explicit consent... and they might be right. However, that law is particular to the USA and not appliable to most of the world.
In Europe, the exact opposite is true: if someone is in a public place and a photographer takes a photo of them, that person only needs an explicit consent to post the photo in case it is used for advertisement or promotional purposes. For things such as blogging, that consent is not needed at all... In fact, it is even legal to use such photos for editorial and limited fair use commercial purposes. 😉

Ahh I read her. She is posing for your camera silently. She knew she is being captured. So she is trying to get the best of her to pose you 😬😁
Did you talk to her, specially while u were trying to capture the 6th photograph with her drawing ?
I should say, people here in India are never friendly when they are being photographed by a stranger, specially girls.
Ahahahah. No, I didn't disturb her. And I was a bit far away as I used my zoom. 😁
