Es interesante como las maestras del jardín o incluso guarderías que reciben a niños muy pequeños cuyas madres deben incorporarse al trabajo o al estudio, son las primeras personas con quienes el niño tiene contacto fuera del círculo familiar.

Para iniciar la rutina diaria se hace la ronda de bienvenida con canciones acorde al momento, para saludar y dar los buenos días, y así se van dando una a una un repertorio de canciones para el desayuno, ir al baño, salir al parque, jugar, recoger el desorden, descansar y hasta para despedirse; todo con la intencionalidad de ubicar al niño en cada momento de la jornada diaria.
Cuando oyen la canción empiezan a identificar que es lo que se debe hacer, según lo que corresponde, guiados también por los niños que ya llevan más tiempo y están adaptados al método de trabajo.
La melodía en la voz les ayuda a calmar su ansiedad por estar lejos de mamá, y les permite ir aprendiendo nuevas palabras para incorporar a su lenguaje que en muchos casos apenas inician.
También las maestras gesticulan con movimientos, palmadas o algún instrumento donde los niños adquieren mayores destrezas, equilibrio y se convierte en una de sus primeras experiencias con la música, integrando voz y movimiento.
