Evanescence es una banda de rock, que muchos catalogan de rock-metal, rock-gótico, entre otros. Este grupo tiene una forma de interpretar la música muy peculiar, desde la voz melodiosa de su vocalista, la forma tan fascinante de tocar los instrumentos, hasta los vídeos musicales que transmiten muchas sensaciones a los fanáticos que los observan. Claro, escuchar la banda es algo que te crispa la piel, pero ver los vídeos musicales complementan todo. A mí en lo particular me encantan dos canciones de este grupo que me llenan de sentimientos encontrados, es como una sensación de euforia y tristeza.
La primera canción es My Immortal, esta pieza trata de la pérdida y el proceso de aceptación, de los recuerdos vividos, de los momentos alegres o tristes del compartir, de esa etapa que fue hermosa entre tantas situaciones. La segunda es Bring Me To Life, para mí esta canción trata de la dependencia emocional de una persona hacia otra, pide que esté a su lado y que la ayude a seguir, que no se aparte. En si, a mi parecer, es una persona pidiendo ayuda pero ni siquiera de su pareja, amigo o familiar, sino ayuda profesional, porque recordemos que una persona que siente que para poder vivir necesita a otra, requiere ayuda psicológica para seguir adelante sin depender de nadie.
