I have to start explaining that this post goes about Heavy metal trying to bring back a piece of music history, Metal will never die!
Judas Priest (one of my favorite Heavy Metal band) was created during 1969 at Birmingham, England from there they became one of the greatest band of the Metal history and while they has had several band members during his whole career they have always respect the unique style the band have, not only in the original sound but in the storytelling of the songs. From here this will mark the beginning of a series of posts I will be doing about Judas Priest songs named “The Hell Patrol”.
More specifically I will be sharing with you some songs that talk about magical and in some cases evil characters. That's right, each of these songs will be telling the story of a dark creature or shady entity. No matter the album we can always find one of these secret characters hidden in one song and today we will start with the first one I met “The Painkiller”. Painkiller - Judas Priest
Under the sound of a fast paced heavy metal melody we finally start meeting our guest not fully man not a complete machine, the painkiller rides through outer space on his “metal monster” saving worlds from apocalypsis. The painkiller is the Chrome paladin that brings sorrow and death to evil to save lesser beings. He will hear the screaming and pleas of weaklings, breaking through the sky he will tear apart the darkness under his wheels.
Always like a beacon of shining chrome moving with the sound of thunder, the painkiller burns the ground and skies alike showing humanity the endless light.
The Painkiller is just the good guy under a grim metallic look, no matter that he could be a comic horror creature coming from the dark space, he will be always taking part to destroy evil and injustice. And even raising back the dead to ensure the planet's future (Personally, I imagine him just a human head with sunglasses with a metallic body riding a great robotic steed, breathing fire and the song tells).
The Painkiller will be the first rider joining the Hell Patrol, a mythical motorcycle squad coming from the deepest pits of hells led by Judas itself. They may be from different times with even years of difference between each other but we will reunite the Hell Patrol, while screaming Metal will never!

Tengo que empezar explicando que este post trata sobre el Heavy metal tratando de traer de vuelta una pieza de la historia de la música, ¡el Metal nunca morirá!
Judas Priest (una de mis bandas de Heavy Metal favoritas) fue creada durante 1969 en Birmingham, Inglaterra, a partir de ahí se convirtieron en una de las mejores bandas de la historia del Metal y si bien han tenido varios miembros de la banda durante toda su carrera siempre han respetado la singularidad y estilo que tiene la banda, no solo en el sonido original sino en la narración de las canciones. A partir de aquí, esto marcará el comienzo de una serie de publicaciones que haré sobre las canciones de Judas Priest llamada "The Hell Patrol".
Más específicamente compartiré con ustedes algunas canciones que hablan de personajes mágicos y en algunos casos malvados. Así es, cada una de estas canciones contará la historia de una criatura oscura o entidad sombría. No importa el disco siempre podemos encontrar uno de estos personajes secretos escondidos en una canción y hoy comenzaremos con el primero que conocí “The Painkiller”. The Painkiller es solo el tipo bueno bajo una sombría mirada metálica, no importa que pueda ser una criatura de terror cómico que viene del espacio oscuro, siempre tomará parte para destruir el mal y la injusticia. Incluso resucitar a los muertos para asegurar el futuro del planeta (Personalmente, me imagino solo una cabeza humana con lentes de sol con un cuerpo metálico sobre en un gran corcel robótico, respirando fuego y la canción cuenta).
El Painkiller será el primer piloto que se une al Hell Patrol, un mítico escuadrón de motociclistas procedente de los pozos más profundos del infierno liderado por el propio Judas. Pueden ser de diferentes épocas con incluso años de diferencia entre ellos, pero reuniremos a la Hell Patroll, mientras gritamos ¡el Metal nunca morirá!
