It has been a minute since a post has been made regarding TAH Records. There are quite a few exciting things going and it's finally time to gather them together here, partially to break them down and process them for myself. So far Twice As High Records has been an absolute blast, and I am pumped about a lot of the music that is coming out, not just from us, but all over the place! This is also our first post regarding Rising Star for quite awhile, where a lot of this music is coming out!
1. RECORDS THAT ARE OR ARE ALMOST OUT
In our last post, we announced the preorder for the United Duality/Double Eagle Split 7" single (TAH-003). At first, we were expecting to mail out orders some time in August, but as it turns out they are done early!! This means that to all of you who have ordered the record from the Double Eagle Bandcamp page (http://doubleeagle.bandcamp.com) already have their records on the way to them. I have also shipped some of the singles to @unitedduality, and so you should also look into ordering the record from the United Duality Bandcamp site (http://unitedduality.bandcamp.com), especially if you are in Europe.
I really like how the record turned out. I still absolute love the A-side by United Duality, Cheer Up, and I really like how the sleeve and label art turned out. Here are some pics:

The first full LP 12" vinyl release by TAH Records, Thru the Clouds of Smoke (TAH-002), is still on schedule to be released in mid-to-late summer. The official status of the record at the record pressing plant is that "plating" is done, which means they have created the metal plates used to press the grooves of the record. This means I will almost certainly receive the test pressings of the LP in June, at which point I will record clips of the songs playing on my stereo to post! Just to remind you why you should be excited about this record, it features Juxta (of @atomcollector and @risingstargame), Psionic Tremors (@psionic-tremors), winkandwoo (@winkandwoo) remixed by Billy Korg (@nupulse), Trenton Lundy (@tlundy47), Mysterioso, Gerontius, Sick Shark (@sickshark), Double Eagle [feat. TRL], Alonewolf (@alonewolf), and Black Eye Butterfly (@ivanc). Our next post should have a lot of exciting updates regarding this release.
2. LIGHTS & LINES MUSIC COLLECTIVE & RECORD LABEL

There is a lot of great music that is coming out soon on this label, including both digital and physical products, and you can make sure you get it right now! Mike is running an Indiegogo fundraiser campaign to get L&L going, and there are some fantastic perks and rewards that are being offered at really really good deals, here:

In particular, for the one-year subscription, you will get all digital and physical releases from the label in the first year (guaranteed to be at least 4 CD's and 2 cassettes, along with the digital content), and now there will also be one of the TAH 7" vinyl singles that have come out included in that package.
If you can't contribute to the fundraiser, consider sending the link to a friend who might. There are at least 3 reasons to do so:
(i) Lights & Lines has some fantastic music coming out, which you can find on their page and updates, and this is a great opportunity to check it out;
(ii): The fundraising goal has already been reached so this is already happening! The prices are crazy as they include shipping costs!! It really is a steal;
(iii): Lights & Lines will distribute TAH vinyl from their store in the UK & Europe, so supporting them is also supporting us, and if you order our records from the UK or Europe then this will definitely ease up your shipping expenses!!
It is all extremely exciting to be working with Mike and Lights & Lines, I think some great stuff is on the horizon here...
3. RISING STAR RECORD NFTS [FEAT. DOUBLE EAGLE]
Double Eagle has been playing the blockchain music game Rising Star for about 6 months now, and the development of the game in that span of time has been really exciting and innovative. They now have NFTs of music by the artists who play the game, which gives the buyer both digital music access, as well as an NFT which is functional within the game (that is, it counts towards the card count in the game). There are some fantastic tracks there already, and in fact I just bought the NFT for the song Joy by Trenton Lundy today. I love that song, as I have mentioned in a previous post.
Double Eagle has finally thrown their hat in the ring of the Rising Star NFT Record Store, and we are seeing what we can offer. The NFT that we have up in Rising Star is our entire mini-album/suite COVID 20/20, which was released 1 January 2021 on Bandcamp (stream it there if you want: https://doubleeagle.bandcamp.com/album/covid-20-20). Here is the cover for the NFT:
While the cover is a bit hard to read in-game unless you Zoom, it is clear here. The purchase of the NFT comes with it the full 20:20 length piece as an mp3. You can also email us (whether you bought the NFT or not) at the email address listed, in order to get the pdf of liner notes. Then you have the full picture of the piece if you stream it on Bandcamp, as the liner notes are an absolutely crucial part of the whole story.
Other than the full-length piece and the 4-page color pdf of liner notes, we are also making the NFT very limited: there will only ever be 20 of them. There will never be a re-pressing of them, and these are the only 20 that there will be (unless someone illegally does so, in which case we will employ the likes of the team at Double Eagle Legal).
So, while the price of 20.20 Starpro or 42020 Starbits may look a bit steep, these prices are very low compared to other rare cards in the game, and you are getting the entire musical piece with it here. I am also fully planning on putting almost all of the profit we see from the sales of this NFT back into the game, as I want to buy some records myself!!
Anyway, since real-life record stores are some of my favorite places to be, it is a fantastic feature to have a virtual one on Rising Star, and we love where things are going on that game! If you haven't started playing it yet, I recommend that you do so!
4. RECORDS THAT WILL COME OUT
Speaking of Rising Star, as was posted some time ago, there is going to be a Rising Star LP coming out on TAH Records (See this post: https://peakd.com/hive-195370/@risingstargame/competition-to-name-the-forthcoming-rising-star-vinyl-album)
The above post solicited title ideas for the name of the album. While it's probably not quite time to post the title of the album, I can say that the title has been determined...ain't I a tease? The album should be out and available in the first half of '22 (so within a year from now), and will likely be a pressing of 300 on random-color vinyl. We are about 90% done with the track-listing, which includes tracks by Juxta featuring Grand Space Adventure (@juxtamusic & @grandspace), Junkfeathers (@junkfeathers), The Stress Cones (@nupulse & @ivanc), Double Eagle, Last Ravage Opinion (@lastravage), Ugochill (@ugochill), Gribbles (@gribbles), Nakedverse (@nakedverse), The Turtle Project (@theturtleproject), and Trenton Lundy feat. winkandwoo (@tlundy47 and @winkandwoo). The Turtle Project has also agreed to do the cover art for the album, which is exciting! You will obviously be hearing more about this record in the future, which is slated to be TAH-005.
"Wait," you say while scratching your chin, "what happened to TAH-004?"
I will tell you what is happening with TAH-004.
I will tell you that TAH-004 is scheduled to be a release by The Stress Cones (@nupulse and @ivanc) called The Stress Cones Dub Plate. It will be a translucent green 10" vinyl EP with a full color picture sleeve and 20 minutes of the best damn music you will hear on nearly any day you choose to listen to it. Perhaps I have said too much. There is definitely more to come, so stay tuned...
