Types of Dance in Electronic Music

Have you ever wondered, what are the types of dances there are in the electronic melody?
Today we will tell you which are the most relevant or well known in the scene.

SHUFFLE

This is one of the most known dances, and I am sure that many of you know how to dance it really well or at least you have tried it. The shuffle is characterized by singular movements of the feet where the purpose is to drag them on the floor, as well as to move the heels and toes in such a way that they are the protagonists of the choreography.

Did you know? Its name of origin is Melbourne Shuffle.

This dance has been known since the 90's, but its boom has been in 2006 with the boom of the youtube platform and this made millions of individuals upload several video clips dancing to the rhythm of shuffle using the led tennis shoes to give it an exclusive style. Of course it is impossible to forget that due to Redfoo and Sky blue members of LMFAO, with their electro house beginnings made this dance develop with their songs.

TECKTONIK

In the discotheques and due to the clubs the tecktonik emerged; this dance is based on a sequence of improvised movements with the arms where the purpose is to wrap the head with them, in parallel the torso can rotate and the feet slide and intertwine, impressive?

ELECTRO DANCE

This genre also became popular in the 2000's, simultaneously with Tecktonik. Electro dance is considered an evolution of Tecktonik, however this new dance genre combined other styles such as disco, hip hop, glowsticking and vogue with the aim of making geometric figures taking care of the aesthetics of the poses and thus building clean movements.

TUTTING

This dance retakes the beats of hip hop, mainly danced with genres such as trap and dubstep, such as electro dance also aims to create geometric shapes with arms, limbs and fingers.

POPPING AND ROBOT DANCE

In Bass and Dubstep not only the tutting is danced, but also the so called "popping and robot dance", both styles are based on the cultural displacement called Boogaloo which is native to California and has been known in the 60s. called Boogaloo which originates from California, and has been known in the 60s.
This dance is characterized by the contraction and relaxation of the muscles to recreate a shaking impact on the human body, however concentrating on

HARDSTYLE

The hardstyle is a genre of electronic melody and simultaneously a type of dance, born in the Netherlands in the late 90s.
This dance is characterized by continuing certain steps of shue, however with more abrupt blows on the floor and with movements of hands more enormous and powerful.

JUMPSTYLE

This kind of dance differs by offering jumps supported by the limbs which have the possibility to turn simultaneously with the trunk of the body and kicking in the air.
