Wonderful interview, I enjoyed reading it. I particularly liked one of his responses:

I like it because I wasn't trying to do anything fancy, just your basic song with drums, bass, guitar, and keys but kicking people's butts at the same time!

Any time music can be utilized to evoke emotion or action in people it has truly accomplished something! (IMHO)
