Listen to Suffer Now My Fallen Angel by Inertia 2004

I love music. Music is my life! When I was younger I used to carry my guitar and amp to band practice, wherever that might be that day. Sometimes it would be to jam in a basement with a friend. Other times we had the music room booked before class, so we could work on our songs before class started.

When I was in high school, the lead guitarist in my band had a heated garage, which was the best. We were able to produce the best music partly because we had the space and time to do so. If you can't practice at least twice a week, it is just a hobby. If you want to be a professional, it takes many hours of practice. Without a practice space, band members can't meet up consistently.

We did, and thanks to the incredible members commitment we write original music, we toured around our province and played shows with other bands that were popular at the time. We performed at our high school not just once, but twice when we won the battle of the bands that year. Inertia also recorded a demo CD with our best hits.

These songs still have a special place in my heart, and I often listen to our Demo CD. I doubt we will get back together for a reuinion; after high school we all went our separate ways. We still keep in contact, but life is strange and we all have different paths. Music is something magical and it can teleport you back in time to a moment when you heard that song. For songs that you write yourself, it can capture so many feelings and emotions from the time when it was written.

I still remember...

Yes I do! And I am writing new music this year with a good friend of mine.
