My first ever running post!

in EXHAUST5 years ago

Today I am sharing my first detailed running post with you and I choose community EXHAUST as I was exhausted at the end of the run and I still am.

So to go back few weeks, I started running after more than 2 years. My first run was exactly 5 km and 29:57 min. I was satisfied. But I gave my soul running. I liked that feeling. I wanted to go again next day and I went. And than every week more and more. Quarantine time also helps here as it is allowed to work out outside and I currently don't have a job, so more free time which is now spend well.
After about two weeks I pushed the tempo up to 10.5 km/h on 5 km run and thah on 11 km/h on 4 km run. I tried to add to distance as well at 6 km at aboit the same pace. And now we are on today's day. My best run I would say. All details are below.
I can just add that it was sunny when I went running in between it was sun, rain, sun, rain. So that pushed my tempo up as well. Never run in the rain before. I always said how stupid are they who are running in the rain. And here I am now :)

I am used to using Sports tracker. I know Actifit is popular here around. So all advices are welcome. I am also thinking to buy sports watch. I really like competing vs. my previous results.

That would be all for first time. I hope that my post is OK for this category. I don't have experience with that kind of posts :)

Great, man! You're doing better than me hands down! Keep it rolling :)

Still at the beginning...
It matters the most to work out a bit, not so much the result.

Totally agree with you!!

Nice to have you here! Excited to hear more about your running adventures!

Lots of users here make use of different watches / applications. Some people use Strava, some use Endomondo or others. Feel free to poke around and ask people what they use.

If you end up uploading your activity through out website front end (https://xhaust.me) -- you can get on the leaderboards and receive full upvotes from @exhaust.

The easiest way to do this is use a Strava account and allow @exhaust the permissions needed to sync your activities.

Cheers, and keep runnin'!

Thank you very much for your comment and advices. Will see you around in your community !

Keep it up man, and hope to see more from you soon.Welcome to @exhaust Andy, great to have you join us. I have never heard of Sports Tracker before, it actually looks pretty cool, I might have to look at it. I use Strava as it links directly with @exhaust and my watch downloads to Strava as well...Its not the best app, but has a lot of friends on there so I enjoy the social aspect of seeing what my friends are doing on their rides and runs.

Hi Vince,
Thank you for stopping by!
I will take a look at this Strava watch.
I will continue to run and hope to see you here at exhaust.

That's a great pace! A decent sports watch is a must if you like statistics. Actifit is letting me down a little bit actually... it doesn't seem to evolve into a real sports tracker. Hope time proves me wrong! I should probably look into @exhaust!

Hi,
Thanks for your input on Actifit.
I will take a look at some of the sports watches for sure.
Will see you around!
